4 weeks out
Hello everyone! It's been 4 weeks from my surgery and everything is going great. I've been healing very well. I've still got pain and numbness in my abdomen and lower back from the lipo. I can also tell I'm still swollen because when I wear leggings for any extended amount of time I get indentations where the elastic band is. It goes away pretty soon after taking them off though. It's hard for me to believe that I'm still swollen in those areas because my waist is already looking SO good. My boobs are also looking great. My incisions are also healing really well. I just recently started using 24PPM silver gel (you can buy it online at Costco for cheaper than most places) and it seems to be making a pretty big difference. I'm planning to start using the silicone scar strips when I get the OK from my doc. My boobs are starting to get softer and rarely ever hurt, except for sometimes when I first wake up. Just a side note, be prepared to have all sorts of weird feelings in your breasts after surgery. I've had everything from pain, soreness, nipple sensitivity, and LOTS of itchiness. But all of it is slowly subsiding. I also read somewhere that milk thistle and vitamin E can help prevent CC. I know there isn't much science to back it up but hey I figured it can't hurt! I have to note that I didn't start taking the vitamin E until 3 weeks after surgery because it can increase bleeding risk and 3 weeks is when I was cleared to take the rest of my vitamins. Also, milk thistle is really good for you anyway and I've actually been feeling better (more energy, general wellbeing) since taking it so I'll keep doing it (and it can help prevent hangovers so that's cool too ;) ). Anyway, I've posted some updated photos. You can see how my boobs are definitely less swollen and starting to fall into place quite nicely. So happy that I chose Dr Slenkovich! He has made me look better than I could have ever imagined!
Just over a week post op
Hello lovely ladies! Just figured it was time for an updated review of my surgery. I am about a week and 2 days post op from my breast augmentation and lipo procedures from Dr Slenkovich. I am definitely still swollen in all areas (hips, back, breasts and even pubic area) but I couldn't be happier with my results so far. My waist looks fantastic and I never thought I could have curves like this. My breasts are still sitting high (but they told me that it's completely normal) and I've been doing massages to get them to settle into place along with wearing the strap 24/7. The massages feel a little strange, but not terribly painful or anything. Most of the pain is in my liposuction sites, which I have also been massaging with the help of my boyfriend. As I mentioned earlier, he wasn't very happy about me getting these surgeries (and I didn't even tell him about the lipo until after it was already done) but he admitted today that my body looks pretty damn good :)
Boobs are still hard and feeling is sort of different. Not numb or painful but just....strange. Recovery has definitely been a long process. I've been sleeping fine due to sleeping medication that I've been taking for years (bad insomnia otherwise). Most of the pain that I have is when I first wake up in the morning but it tends to dissipate after getting up and moving around a bit. The vicodin that they prescribed me never really worked very effectively (I don't really respond well to it) so I traded it in for the lower dose of percocet which did the trick. I've still been taking it every day but I'm down to about half a tablet once a day and then taking the ibuprofen as suggested by my doctor. I think that today is the best I've felt so far.
As far as the actual surgery day, I was so extremely nervous and the surgery right before mine ended up running late so I was waiting around for about 2 hours. I was already so scared that being delayed didn't help but my nurse was fantastic and she helped put me at ease. I didn't have any pain when I woke up but I was FREEZING cold so they gave me warm water bottles and an electric blanket to help heat me up. They said that being cold is normal after the procedures that I had done. Recovery hasn't been bad because I'm surrounded by my amazing friends and boyfriend. If anyone has any questions that they want to ask, feel free :) happy holidays to everyone out there

I just had my surgery today and I am so excited...
I just had my surgery today and I am so excited about my results. I wasn't planning to write a review but I found that this site was so helpful in my planning process that I decided that this could be helpful for others on here. I decided about 6 months ago to have a BA done. I wasn't completely sure that I would actually do it but after meeting Dr Slenkovich, I absolutely felt that it was the best thing to do and that he was the right person to do it. I have always had small breasts (about a 32B at my heaviest, 116 lbs, which is currently). I definitely wanted bigger boobs but I didn't have any self esteem issues, it was more really just something that I kinda kept in the back of my head. After my consultation back in May, I booked my surgery for today (Dec 16th) because my company has a 2 week furlough over the holidays. It just seemed appropriate and allowed me to save up some money. I was always super small, weighing anywhere from 93-105 lbs, but in the last year, my metabolism seemed to slow to a crawl and I quickly put on about 10-12 lbs which gave me a weigh in of about 116-118 lbs. I started hitting the gym super hard and was able to lose about 5% body fat in a couple of months. My weight didn't change but I knew it was because I had been putting on muscle so I didn't mind. Even with the body fat changes, I still hated my waist. I felt kind of stout and like I didn't have any curves. I've always had a great, round booty so that never bothered me. However, even when I was at my lightest weight, I never had the waist line to give me the curves that I wanted. So, after much contemplation, I decided to do liposuction of my trunk area along with my breast augmentation.
For the few months leading up to my surgery, I was so excited and kept daydreaming of being able to go shopping for new bras and clothes. During this last week, however, I was EXTREMELY nervous. I started second guessing myself and wondered if it was even worth it. It also didn't help that my boyfriend was very AGAINST me getting this done because he felt it was unnecessary and that I was beautiful just the way I was. I decided, however that I was doing this for me and I was gonna do it regardless of his thoughts towards it. After many long conversations with him, he told me that he would be supportive of whatever decision I made and it wouldn't change his perception of me. I think he was worried that it was an underlying issue that I had with my self confidence, but I explained to him that it wasn't the case and that I just wanted my boobs to be bigger. I still haven't told him about the liposuction because I was hoping it wouldn't be as noticeable, but after seeing the pictures, it absolutely is very noticeable (in a good way). So I'm still figuring out how to tell him. I had my best friend take me to and from the surgery (my boyfriend had to work and wasn't able to get the time off). My friend is seriously so supportive and he held my hand the entire time. I decided to get a hotel for 2 nights close to the surgery center because i live an hour away and didnt want to deal with being in the car. My friend is staying with me in the hotel tonight since it's snowing so hard and my boyfriend will try to make it down in the morning, weather permitting of course.
Anyway, I am posting a before and after picture that my surgeon took since I opted to participate in his snapchat. I am already so excited about these results. I will keep you ladies updated as time goes on. Happy healing to everyone out there :)

Dr Slenkovich is an amazing doctor and he is also so kind. He helped calm me down during pre op this morning and he's very personable. Thanks, doctor Slenkovich, for such a great experience.
