What I've learned during this weight loss,...

What I've learned during this weight loss, self-esteem rising, and newfound reclamation of "me" process, is that I am a woman first. I absolutely love, adore, and cherish my family...but with pregnancy comes a cost to many women. I have lost that feeling of being sexy, desired by my husband, and have struggled with depression post-partum. I would not trade my life for a thing! The love I have for my husband and kids is infinite!!!
The thing is...I deserve to be proud of my outside appearance as much as my inside appearance. I have a huge heart for everyone that is in my life, I volunteer to help others, and I work my A$$ off defending our country. I've struggled with the guilt of being selfish for wanting surgery for years---the outcome? An increased desire to sacrifice time with my family, finances, and vacation time so that I become a better version of myself! I am NO longer carrying that guilt. I deserve a flatter stomach (somewhat) free of scars, breasts that look God-given (not like a couple of oranges in socks), and an butt that will stop my husband in his tracks! :)
Like I said, I'm paid to defend our country... I workout 5 days a week. It is SO discouraging to see my body changing in many areas except for my stomach, hips, and breasts. This is my journey to bring me back to the old me...physically speaking, of course!

Let's see...I've had 3 consults in Little Rock and all 3 are suggesting radically different procedures. Great... I've made one last appointment with another doctor, then I'm going back to who I feel is the best option for a 2nd follow-up consult.
Dr Suzanne Yee- wanted to pull out existing saline implants, do breast lift & replace with silicone. Tummy tuck could not be guaranteed to go around sides (love handles). She seemed nervous and unsure. Not a great trait in the plastic surgery field IMO.
Dr. SLOAN- Loved him off the bat! He recommended pulling out implants, doing the lift & affixing the Strattus (pigs skin essentially) to the inside of my breast. He thinks my tissue is too thin & this would give me the upper volume I'm seeking! They are costly, an extra $1600 for the pair. He recommended a mini TT with Lipo of thighs. Total cost $16k.
Dr Bauer- didn't recommend the strattus, in fact, he wanted desperate surgeries. Removal of implants and BL, then waiting a few months to put in silicone. He said full extended TT & Lipo. Total cost $21k.
Dr Brahman- scheduled consult next week. Should be interesting.
So far, I'm thinking Dr Sloan is more in tune with my needs and is striving to go outside the box for results. Pigs skin use is a bit odd, but I did research and it's fairly common...good to know :)
Thanks to all for any/all input you may have during my journey. Looking to have surgery in March...stay tuned!

Need a little pep talk...

My fourth and final consult with Dr B went great, he is definitely my doctor and felt confident he could give me the results I want.
I'm definitely getting the BL/BA/swap for silicone....boobs are a go ;). I'm really wanting to get the tummy done at the same time, I'm just so bogged down with the financial burden of spending another 7K...grand total for MM is 14K. It's doable between our savings & having to finance the rest, it's just SOOO hard deciding whether to do all now or to split up the surgeries. Tough call ;(
The good news is I know I'll have new breasts in a few months! Cannnnnnnot wait! Feel free to advise, this stuff is stressful! ;(

Forgot to add...

Oh! And Dr B said he saw no reason for the strattice, he said I didn't need it.
It's crazy how radically different PS's thoughts/consults differ!
