So far so good...

things have been going pretty smoothly for the most part. I am dealing with some swelling in my lower back and lower abdomen still. My lower back is still pretty hard and numb in some places so I know there is more healing to do there. My lower abdomen pretty much has its feeling back and the area has softened up so I’m hoping that the little pooch that’s left is swelling and it will go down as well. I’m slightly concerned about that area but overall my results are amazing. I’m beyond happy with everything else. The only visible scars I have are on my upper back and I’m hopeful they will heal in time. The other scars were place so well that I cannot even see them…even if I look for them. I’ll take a picture of the scars for my next update. I’m still wearing my compression garment 24/7. I don’t really mind it…I’ve gotten used to having it on. I had to order another one because my first one was getting too big. I’m planning to wear it up until my 3 month check up and then maybe only at night? We’ll see how things go. I’m hoping to be all set and ready to go by summer. I lost about 5 inches in my waist and I am down about 13lbs. I haven’t been working out…just started walking on the treadmill yesterday. Trying to build myself back up to get back to yoga but I’m still pretty stiff and tingly. I’m not on a strict diet but I have given up red meat and fast food. I’ve limited my alcohol intake as well. Other than that I’m conscious about what I eat and how much I eat but not a “diet” per say. I want this to be a lifestyle change so I’m not doing anything too drastic that I won’t be able to continue to do for years to come. Thanks for all the comments and questions…I’ll continue to update.

1wk vs 5wk photos

Sorry I forgot to post these...you can tell in the pictures swelling has gone done and more of a relaxed natural shape.
