Waist me please...

As many have said before me....thank you to all of the wonderful dolls who have selflessly shared their experiences! I’m scheduled to have lipo of my lower and upper abdomen, flanks, and lower back with Dr Shifrin. All of my encounters with him and his office have been great! My initial consultation was with Dr West who was super cool! He made me feel comfortable immediately! I showed him my problem areas and basically just told him I want to look better in my clothes. I’m carrying most of my weight in my flanks and back. I’m 5’8” 170lbs. I met Dr Shifrin briefly but didn’t mind because Dr West was so informative. After booking my procedure back in September I did have additional questions and the office was sweet enough to allow me to come in for a 2nd consultation with Dr Shifrin himself and he was excellent at answering all my questions and concerns. I thought that was super dope! So tomorrow is my big day! Not really nervous just ready to get it done and start the long road of healing.

So it has been a rough few days but everyday is getting better. Dr Shifrin was awesome. The day of surgery went pretty smooth. I was not nervous at all. He came in, spoke w me, marked me up and said we’re gonna get all this fat! I was like perfect...grab EVERYTHING! He asked was I nervous and I said nope...I trust you! He grabbed my hand and gave me a comforting nod. I dozed off while waiting on the anesthesiologist. Once he came in asked a few questions it was time to get the show started! We joked a little and it was lights out for me lol! I woke up with a nice warm blanket and heaters blowing on me but I was in PAIN! Lol not a super hard workout but pain! They were able to get it under control w pain meds but for me it was rough. The next few days in fact were pretty rough. I went for a post op appt the next day and had to get fluid drained. I leaked very little that first night at all. I was in so much pain and so uncomfortable that I didn’t even look at myself until like Day 5 lol! I just wanted to feel better! But when I finally did feel well enough to look at myself I was more than pleased! I’ve attached a quick side by side. I still have a LOT of swelling but I’m down to 30 inches from 33 at my navel.

So it’s true what they say...everyday does get better! Don’t get me wrong I’m still pretty stiff and sore but definitely improving. I’ve had to go to the doctor to get drained twice and although it’s uncomfortable I see a huge difference once it’s done. Dr Shifrins staff and office has been super sweet. I def recommend visiting their office if you’re in the chicago area. I’ve added some photos....I’m still super swollen but making good progress...
