Lack of Legal Documentation for Services

$11,480
I had been seeing little lumpy areas around 2-3 weeks post, after sending messages and photos, I was told by the nurse Adrienne and Dr. Jones that, “I was still healing”. Fast forward to 8 weeks post op,I still have areas of concern and was now told by Dr. Jones I have “contour irregularities” & he could “touch it up with a little lipo in the office”. I paid an extra $3,000 for vaser lipo because of the benefits to improve the body contouring, faster recovery time and less trauma on the blood vessels. I was in severe discomfort until after 3 weeks, even Dr. Jones himself was surprised I was still experiencing so much that he phoned in more ibuprofen and increased my Gabapentin dose around my 1 week follow up.
I still had doubts that I actually received vaser lipo, so I requested my medical records on 12/6 and was told by Jacob(the secretary), “I’ll email them over shortly.” I never received the email, so I called again to follow up on 12/8 and was told by Jacob, “Dr. Jones has to go in to make notes so the OR note isn’t finished yet & he’s in surgery all day today.” I thought this was strange because he didn’t mentioned this before. Minutes after ending the phone call with Jacob, he emailed over the medical record. No where in the OR note does it mention me receiving vaser lipo anywhere. The team and Dr. Jones also mentioned the medical record they sent me is “a prompt or template”, so it is not even patient specific according to my treatment, which is another red flag. If it’s not charted, it is technically NOT done. I was told today by Nailah, that it takes “7 days to receive the records from the surgery center”. They have known about me requesting my medical records since 12/5, so there’s no excuse for it to be over a week later and I’ve still yet to receive validating medical records. The team as a whole is never on one accord with communication and they lack legal documentation for services provided in a timely manner. I requested a $3,000 refund but it was denied because it was said “I did receive vaser”; however, the documents I received say otherwise and they have no supporting documents as of today12/15. I personally will not be back to this establishment and will let my complaints be known publicly and legally.
