Office review: They keep telling me they’re gonna call me back and they never did

If I could give this place a -10 I would. Beware of these people they will steal your money and they will not refund you. I paid in full for surgery that I was supposed to have Tomorrow. I have been calling all day to find out what time is the surgery and they keep telling me they’re gonna call me back and they never did. Red flags started being raised, So I started to research the doctors in depth. Dr. Jativas Instagram appears very promising with great results and he appears very attentive to his patients so I was blindly sold. I also wanted to have surgery this week which was short notice and he promised to take me which also blinded me. As I did my digging, which I should’ve done before, Dr. Jativa is not board-certified and he does not have many years with cosmetic surgery. His assistant, which is the real doctor/surgeon, Dr. Jaime Velasquez is the one actually performing surgeries. He is a plastic surgeon in Colombia, however he is not a certified doctor here. I spoke with the office manager Adriana, who is absolutely disgusting and bold face lies, about when I’m going to receive my refund. I tell her that I’m seeing a lot of red flags and I don’t feel comfortable it’s starting to look like a scam. So on top of her not telling me when I’m going to get my money back and giving me sketchy responses without a solution, she responds to me that I will not have surgery anymore because I consider it to be a scam. A weak attempt in trying to turn the tables. To make a long story short, despite me stating that I did not wanna have surgery anymore and I wanted my refund, SHE decided that I will not have surgery regardless, yeah an office manager decided?!?! Of course no solution on my refund! Just proof that goes to show that they weren’t planning to do surgery on me anyways and they just took my money. It was all a SCAM! She goes on and on on to say how professional they are, which is the biggest lie yet. I tried escalating to Dr. Jativa and he blocked me on social media to top it off. I’ve had several surgeries with other physicians here in the United States, and I have never come across such an unprofessional con like setting like this. I’m also a nurse with experience in cosmetic surgery in the past. This is not how a normal business is carried out. This is South American con artistry in south Florida. At this point I am going to have to get the police involved which they stated they will accompany me to collect my refund, and I will be contacting the department of health. Be very very careful and run while you can from here!!!!
