2 Weeks Post-op (well 13 days)

Hello dears, I thought I’d post a little early since I go back to work on Monday. Today is day 13, so almost 2 weeks since my procedure and each day is definitely better than the previous but not a walk in the park. I feel like swelling is going down every day because I can now feel where the scar tissue has formed. You can see from the pictures that I still have a lumpy look which is to be expected. 98% of the bruising is gone but everything is still SUPER tender! I’m still pretty numb all over as well but the feeling is starting to slowly come back, it’s strange because the skin is only numb but the tissue feels every pull and sharp pain when I move in certain ways. Oh and for the love of all things good PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE continue to wear your compression garments! This last week was my anniversary and so I decided to wear a dress that wasn’t quite long enough to cover the real sexy garment so I opted to forgo it and sweet baby angel did I regret it, i swear the swelling came back and it felt like the cannula was still jabbing under my skin so do yourself a favor, be kind to your recovering body and wear the shit your doctor gives you or gives you the all clear to wear. Take it from me please

12 days Post op

So today is 12 days post op, I’m still swollen and “lumpy” which is to be expected. I’m getting 20 minutes ultrasound therapy 2x a week which is supposed to cut the healing time down to apex 6 weeks vs. 6 months. I’m still considerably tender, laying down to sleep and riding passenger in a car is still the most uncomfortable but I’m not on any pain relieving medications. I did will myself to go to the gym today but took it fairly easy due to the tenderness. I’ll post again next week after my 2 week follow up. Any questions gorgeous gals, please feel free to ask!!

Day 7 Post-Op

dates! Sorry beauties, of course as Murphy’s law would have it, the week of my procedure home life got very stressful! But here is an update, one week to the day!
On day 5 (Saturday) I had my follow up with Dr. S, I was SO SHOCKED when he took my measurements, I have lost 23” in total from all three areas (upper & lower back & hips)! I’m beyond thrilled with the results even though I’m still very swollen I can see a difference. Dr. S is truly an artist, he has a way of making you feel beautiful just how you are but can see the full potential within you too. I’ve always been a sort of square in the middle shape my whole life, I’ve gained and lost weight but the shape has never changed; I actually have a waist now, there’s actually a NARROW point in my waist!!
This surgery is in preparation for my tummy tuck scheduled later this summer, my BMI was too high for the procedure so I had to get some of the bulk off before I could proceed. I’m grateful I did, it’s a perfect start.
Ask me anything and I’m happy to share about recovery it how I’m feeling.
