Office review: unethical and engages in bad business practices

I wish I could give ZERO stars! This place is so unethical and engages in bad business practices. On 05/23/22 I contacted Mia aesthetics in Miami about the information on a surgery I wanted. Surgical Coordinator- Maria Aranguren called me back (while she was talking to me FROM HOME, chewing food, cooking, dogs barking and children talking in the background), she said that she will email me the pricing list and information for Dr. Mehio, and what I am asking for can be done.

It never happened. Finally, she called me back, stating that I must pay the $900 deposit first, and after she receives it, she would send me the link for me to fill out my medical history information. I found it odd since I would expect the doctor to gather the info first, and see if the patient is approved for surgery, and THEN get the deposit, and schedule an appointment. She never informed me that the deposit is not refundable! So I paid, and scheduled the date for 7/13/2022; arriving in Miami on 07/12/22. I suddenly realized that I will have guests from overseas. So I called right back, and the answer was $1000 to reschedule! So I decided to leave it alone and go forward with the procedure and reschedule my guests. I filled out the medical forms and was waiting for an answer.

I got a voice message, and email, stating that my surgery can not be performed due to my medical conditions, and the refund department will contact me within 48-72 hrs. This also never happened. I called again a few days later, they put in a request for a refund of my deposit. I was told it will take 30-45 days for a refund.

I called today 7/12/22 to see where am I with the refund situation, and I was told my refund is REFUSED, without any explanation, not in writing, letter or by email. This is TOTAL ROBBERY and FRAUD. Deceitful business practice, completely UNETHICAL. The amounts they present to patients are out of nowhere. I know this because my daughter had paid the same $950 deposit for the same surgery, and her rescheduling fee was $ 500 vs $1000 for me.

I needed to speak to a manager who can provide me a written explanation why my refund was refused, I never got to talk to her, at the meeting. These people must be punished for their actions I will report them to a Medical Board.
