Better Results Than I Could Have Hoped! Wish I Had Done It Sooner
WORTH IT$9,180
Stellar experience from start to finish. Went in office for a consult about a month after calling in. I mostly wanted to fix my cartoonish "Pixar mom" shelf hips and Dr. Precht explained how removing fat from above and below the shelf area would keep my shape more natural. Dr.Precht gave me two different treatment options, one where she removed fat from the knees up to the thighs and another option where she did everything in option one and did some shaping up to my lower waist. I chose the option when less fat removal since I'm optimistic about my ability to lose that weight on my own.
For the surgery, I warned her beforehand that I have trouble getting IV's and she put me in touch with the anesthesiologist who gave me a few tips the night before. Getting poked was still pretty tough but I was out like a light after that. One thing I wish I had done is taken some pain medication as soon as I sat down in the car--it was an incredibly painful ride home without pain medication and their instruction packet tells you not to take any pain meds until you are home.
Recovery went pretty smooth for me. I opted to buy the second compression garment and the amica supplements. I did lots of daily walks and started the recovery massages as soon as I could, though my huge bruises over the treatment area prevented that for about two weeks. I'm about 3 months out from my surgery and almost fully recovered except for the incision points. I'm incredibly happy with the results and wish I had done it sooner, I can finally buy normal, non-stretchy pants!
