WORTH IT
The following statements are anecdotally common beliefs:

- Everyone knows that you have to choose between competency and compassion/bedside manner with doctors, right?

- And that if your dermatologist/cosmetic surgeon does not have a cold, uncomfortable, faux-ultra-modern waiting room, they clearly do not understand good aesthetics.

- Besides, most of the time it is the doing the work, so it really doesn't matter who is operating it.

Let me warn you before your visit with Dr. Khan -- you will need to remind yourself not to immediately call up your mother or best friend to demand they tell you why they lied to you about these supposed facts. You probably should also refrain from gloating to your worst frienemy about their subpar experiences.

Dr. Khan contradicts all of this common "knowledge" with her out of the box effective thinking coupled with a disposition that immediately puts you at ease and eventually starts to remind you of an extremely well-meaning, funny friend who you always go to for advice. Her waiting room is comfortable and tastefully decorated with her own art. This is actually important because -- do you want a cosmetic physician who has no eye for art? Or one who just buys the most expensive looking thing and sticks it anywhere? Finally, everyone's bodies react differently to things; when something does not go as planned, do you want next to you a machine operator or a harvard-trained physician?

I went to her for a revision of a complication I had with a procedure from a surgeon who fit all 3 of those misconceptions who gave me some ridiculous advice on how to somewhat correct it because he could not. Now that Dr. Khan has almost completely corrected the issue, she and I have had a couple of good laughs over aforementioned advice.

One thing to note: if you watch the videos on Dr. Khan's website, in some of them she seems _very_ serious (but still brilliant and convincing). In person, she exudes personality and kindness.
