Nailed one down on the 3rd attempt

So as with most of the ladies on here I have been researching mommy makeover’s, body contouring etc. for the last nine years my kids are 21, 12 and 10.

I’m finally in a financial position to actually take action on proceeding with the surgery, so with in the last year I have gone and met with 3 physicians, 2 male and the one that I selected is female. One thing that I noticed when I met with the male surgeons was that they focused a lot on my breast lift and tummy tuck procedures. I understand that I will need to undergo 2 extensive procedures: 1)liposuction to my thighs, flanks, upper back, arms 2) a breast lift with a full tummy tuck.

Now you’re probably wondering why don’t I do the breast lift and tummy tuck first but I don’t have the time off nor the finances to support the second surgery. being that I’ve waited nine years just to get any type of cosmetic surgery I needed to pick something I could afford and make happen and get started.

More details- changing my metric

I’ve always been on the heavy side...it runs in the family. In eighth grade I was 195 pounds wearing a size 20 I finally lost weight got down to about a size 10 when I was 160 and I stayed at that size even throughout my 1st pregnancy until I had my second wave of kids, ballooning up to 272. it took me about three years to drop most of the weight and then I stayed around the 195-200 mark for another 4-5 years, wearing a size 12/14 late twenties.

in my early 30s I did weight watchers and I was able to drop 50 pounds but after year and a half I went right back to 190 to 200, size 10-12. Throughout all of this I managed to keep the same wardrobe, but my body never had a noticeable difference... as in I still had the back and bra rolls, the flanks & the tummy + pockets of fat on my inner thighs no matter how much dieted and worked out. Here I am 36 almost 37 and realize I most likely won’t be able to change my body shape and my weight seems to be very stagnant so I’m going to work with what I have and just get the hourglass figure that I’m looking for.  at the end of the day I had to change the metric of looking at the scale and a number and realize I’m more in love with having curves and being smooth. I have friends that are in the 200s and they look really good because of how they carry their weight.

Awesome customer service

The team here it truly amazing. From the moment I scheduled and had the consult to the actual preop appt, everyone here has been amazing.

Dr. Streu is kind and radiants good vibes! I immediately knew she was my best option for moving forward, she listened and diagnosed what she could actually do, she made me feel at ease when she explained her experience with individuals in the higher BMI range. At no moment in time did I feel that she was selling me additional procedures, nor was she or her staff judgmental or made me feel bad for being there. I appreciate that she doesn’t dive into pricing with you but let’s the financial specialist know what she plans to do and within 5 mins you’re meeting to go over the quote. Other places i’d gone to, made me wait 2-4 days to know the price. At no point of time was I pressured to schedule or felt that I was getting ripped off. It’s true what others say, trust your gut in regards to knowing who you’re gonna have do your procedure. Have multiple consults, ask lots of questions, don’t be shy in sharing all your concerns, be honest and open, otherwise the MD won’t understand your true areas of concern.
