Muffin Top Gone and Confidence Back :)

Although I’m a UK size 10 I’ve always hated my body as I have big boobs and a big muffin top around my waste which combine to make me feel frumpy. I’ve been like this as long as I can remember but it got even worse after having my daughter and now I’m in menopause so have extra weight gain from that. Where I live it’s cold in the winters and I love it because I can cover up in over-sized jumpers and t-shirts hiding all the bits I hate. Every spring I start to dread the summer months and panic about what I’m going to wear. I also have really bad cellulite all the way down to my knees front and back so NEVER get my legs out. I finally decided to take the plunge and go and visit local plastic surgeon. Ideally, I wanted her to help me with my cellulite on my legs so I could feel more confident wearing shorts or a skirt in the summer, but she was honest with me and told me that there was nothing she could do for that as liposuction on my legs would make the cellulite look worse. I was really disappointed because I really hoped this was going to be the answer for me. However, she said she could do my waist (muffin top) and I thought that at least if I changed my silhouette and slimmed my waist, I might feel more comfortable in long skirts or loose trousers without just feeling wide and frumpy. So I decided to go for it! We also agreed that while she was doing that she would do my bingo wings and some inner and outer thigh at the top which she said she could do (she wouldn’t do front or back of my thighs or around my knees as she said it would make the cellulite there look worse)…. I thought in for a penny in for a pound let’s do it!!!

I am three weeks post Surgery and although she has told me the full results won’t be seen for six months I’m already so happy that I did this! I can’t believe the change in my body shape already and I’m excited about clothes again! I’ve started to dress more feminine and not just hide under oversized clothes have tried on everything in my wardrobe and things I previously would never wear because I just felt frumpy in them suddenly feel great! I can’t believe I didn’t do this years ago it was worth every penny, and I’m now looking forward to summer for the first time ever.

The heating process was also not too bad at all. I mean I was black and blue but that was to be expected and the pain was uncomfortable but not too bad really.

I Decided to share my story in case I could inspire anyone else to do this. I try to eat healthily and definitely don’t eat badly and try to go to the gym when I can but I’m a single mum who runs a business and super busy. I know to achieve this body through gym exercise alone would be a lifelong battle where I had to think about every single thing I eat all the time and make time to go to the gym at least four times a week which I simply don’t have time for.

Photos were taken 3 weeks apart.

P.s the light in these photos is quite flattering in bright light or daylight my cellulite is really visible and goes all the way down to my knees front and back :(
