Rash was so bad But getting better. I see results even though I’m still swollen. I am able to work out in the gym now at 2 weeks post surgery so that’s exciting. I can’t wait to get out of this binder, I think that’s why my rash won’t go away? The nurse said it’s not necessary to get massages but my hubby does it for me every night and it feels so amazing. I really can’t wait for the swelling to go away. My flanks are still numb too.
ORIGINAL POST
Just Lipo in the posterior flanks
No matter how much fat I lost, I always had a muffin top on my posterior flanks. I am an avid exerciser and very fit. I have always made nutrition and exercise my priority in life (I am 52 have 4 kids. I am 5'2" and weight 132lbs) so I felt it was time to go for the treatment. I saw dr passaretti first but he quoted me 12k then I went to dr Restifo and I was quoted 4K plus 1500 for the surgical center and another 800 for anesthesia. I booked the procedure and had it done on April 21st. It took 50 minutes and they were able to suck out 1.3 lbs of fat. They put me in a compression Velcro wrap with foam on both sides. The surgical center sprayed that foam with an adhesive. I am highly allergic to it and have been on steroids because my whole torso looks like I have poison Ivey. To lipo itself was very painful for the first three days. You can't roll over or use your torso muscles in any way but the good news is you see such an improvement for every day that passes by. Every day you can do more and more. It is 10 days post op and I actually walked in the treadmill and did some arm exercises. My back feels very tight like the muscles don't want to wretch anymore but I'm sure that will go away. My husband massages me every night after he puts tons of cortisone and calamine lotion all over me. I will post some pictures

Congrats! I hope you have great results!
Hi! So glad to hear you had a great experience. Would love to see pics if you don't mind sharing.
I would love to see your pictures also! I carry my weight in my posterior flanks also. It's so annoying and frustrating. And how funny, I'm also allergic to adhesives. Even the tegaderm I currently have for my incisions is killing me. Glad you made it through the reaction and that you are happy with your results!
Hi, I'm sorry to hear you are allergic to adhesives too! It makes it difficult for the nurses to know what to do. I had a recti diastasis repair 8 years ago and was so allergic to the tape they used to cover my stitches! When I went to a doctor, they said it was shingles! All I know is it itches and hurt so much it was unbelievable
