7 days exactly since my surgery... I am very swollen especially my ankles. I’m also every shade of black and blue - and everything in between.
Hoping this next week brings changes. I’m definitely waking better even though I’m still sore.
From the knee down still feels numb. Even with all of that i do feel like it gets a little better each day.

Looks great! I hope you read my reply to your comment! Day 10 is coming! Smooth sailing after that!
Very happy for you!
How are you doing now? Please post an update!!
Hi! I had mine done 6 weeks ago. swelling getting better everyday. It just takes quite a while, and the numbness and hardness will take almost a year for it to go away. It's definitely a longer process of recovery than I anticipated, but worth it afer all said and done. I'm happy with what i'm seeing everyday. Can't wait for the swelling to completely stop so I can wear some dresses that I;ve been dying to wear. My incisions are still healing and thought about using some leg makeup to cover them.
Also came across cryotherapy to help with inflammation and swelling. It's been a real help. If you haven't heard of it, google it.
Continued success with your recovery. I'll post pictures of my after at the end of my 3 month mark.
Hello! I am having my procedure done at the end of next month with dr su and also going to be going alone. Do you have any tips for me for my first night after and the trip home?

Lipo on Knees and Ankles/Cankles

I am so glad I went to Dr. Su, he has been fabulous. I had questions about drainage 4 days after my surgery so I texted him pictures and he called me back immediately to assure me everything was fine. I am from Maryland and went for the surgery by myself. I can honestly say it was difficult but I made it home the day after surgery fine. His staff was also wonderful and I loved my nurse Essence. She made me feel relaxed and answered every question I had.

They look great! Happy healing. :)
Thank you!
Legs look great! I go in on the 18th and nerves are setting in.....does the Percocet before help?
Yes! Also the lidocaine makes the procedure comfortable. I was okay until a couple hours after, that evening was pretty tough. The first five days have been the hardest, but today on day 7 I feel like I’m finally making progress.
Good to know
For some reason my who reply didn’t show up. I’m happy to hear you are feeling better! I am flying from VA so similar to you :-) how long was the procedure?
It was about 3.5 hours. It didn’t feel that long though. Are you going down alone?
It sounds like a like time when you are awake and aware of everything going on lol. My husband is going with me. I wonder if they allow someone in there with you during?? Did you ever feel light headed or nauseous?
They give you a anti-nausea medication before the procedure which really helps. They give you that to take home with you too. I needed that every time I took the pain medicine. I felt light headed upon standing but they are very cautious of fainting. With your husband there with you that night you will do totally fine. I was alone! My husband stayed back home at watched the kids.
Your results are amazing ! I am flying to Dr Su by myself from Arizona. I’m glad that you had that experience and everything went smooth. Btw even with you swelling and bruising you can see a significant change in shape and size. Your legs are going to look fantastic once fully healed. Also, how was the pain during the procedure? I’m so excited for my surgery!
Thank you! It was uncomfortable at times but never so bad I couldn’t take it. I didn’t cry- and I’m a crier haha.
For your flight home I would bring anything you could think of to make it more comfortable... blanket, that little neck pillow. Going through the airport wasn’t great but again bearable- and i went alone also.
Good Luck!!
Your legs look awesome already!! What type of Lipo? I am thinking of having it done on knees/ankles? Do they charge per area or one lump sum?
