My entire body was botched by Andre Aboolian
It's taken me years to write this, but it's time. From inaccurate operative reports to careless work - I’ve had several surgeries with Dr. Aboolian and in the end I found he didn't care about me at all. It was all about money. The pain this man caused me is just heart breaking. I trusted him. There are several bad reviews that I never saw if you scroll all the way down his yelp page in the “reviews not recommended section”
When I was 21, I found myself in Dr. Aboolian's office because my thighs were rubbing against each oher and bleeding, so I was there for liposuction. After we talked about my legs he pushed for other parts of my body to be lipoed including my chin and cheeks. I NEVER EVER THOUGHT ABOUT MY FACE until he pointed out I had chubby chipmunk cheeks. I WAS 21! Sadly I let him operate on my body - inner& outer thighs, calves, abdomen, arms, back, buccal cheek fat and neck to be exact. A surgeon has the moral duty to not take advantage of vulnerable patients, but this was not Dr. Aboolian.
I remember feeling like I still had a lot of fat on my legs, but I wasn't bleeding anymore when I walked so I was happy. But my face didn’t look great, the fat removal aged me. I’m 33 now and my neck, jawline, and cheeks look like I’m in my late 40s. Fat should never be removed from a 21 year olds face. I've spent over 7k on sculptra, threads & filler to keep my jawline looking normal. I’m asian, so I shouldn’t have aged like this.
At 28 I made a decision that changed the entire course of my life. I was in the best shape of my life and my leg fat still bothered me, so I decided to have liposuction again with a DIFFERENT surgeon. Unfortunately that procedure didn’t go well and I had indentations on my hips. I was devastated.
So I went back to Dr. Aboolian at 29 to see if he could do a revision. He remembered me from those years ago & seemed to care. I told him I felt I was too young to have had my face operated on at 21 and he said "They start them as early as 16 now." I should have ran then.
I first asked about if Sculptra could help my hips and he told me it was junk, overly expensive and it doesn't last (he now uses it on revision patients). He said he could take fat off my back and abdomen and graft it to my hips. He already lipoed those areas from years before and my abdomen already didn't have much fat - but he said he could 100% fix my hips. He ended up fat grafting IN THE WRONG AREA above where he marked and didn't graft enough fat all together. He RUINED my abdomen. It had indentations and painful scar tissue all over. When I showed him he said I should be happy with my "flat tummy" now. It was already flat before. He should have never touched it. My back skin now is loose and sags.
I still trusted Dr. Aboolian and he made excuses and said he could do ANOTHER SURGERY and this time take fat off my calves and arms. Again he already lipo'd there years before, so clearly he didn't do it right the first time. I was so desperate, so I paid him again. Sadly he caused a terrible painful indentation on one calf and my arms had dents near the elbows where I couldn't rest them on a table without pain. My hips developed scar tissue and dark spots because he didn't graft the fat correctly nor did he graft enough. When I showed him what he had done, he pretended like what I was seeing was invisible and I never heard from him again. His office became very cold and caddy. I was heart broken.
When I asked for my operative reports, they were terribly done and had the WRONG BODY PARTS on them and seemed like he wrote them up the moment I requested them.
I'm 33 now. I've had 3 major reconstructive surgeries with Dr. David Amron and he fixed it all, except my abdomen will never be the same. He tried to gently break up the scar tissue and graft the dents Dr. Aboolian caused, but it will never be the same.
Dr. Aboolian took advantage of my vulnerability for his wallet 3 times in my life and at one point after my surgeries with him I almost took my life. He told me he did nothing wrong, but my surgeon who fixed everything said my body was a mess. Shame on you Dr. Aboolian. I think in total I paid him probably around $30k and the damages he did go beyond monetary value. My neck is starting to sag and I most likely will need a neck lift in my 30s because of this man. How can you remove fat on the face of a 21 year old? How? It's so morally wrong. Imagine if someone did this to your daughter?
