Life Changing
I love Dr. Fenner so much I’d marry him if he’d have me.
Rhinoplasty. 2014. I met Dr. Fenner through a client of mine at my spa. Kimmy and her mother both had amazing things to say in regards to his work. Let me preface by saying these are two women who are meticulous in their appearance, the kind you see in the Who’s Who section, the kind that spare no expense at the finer things in life. Her mother, who’d needed surgery after breast cancer, even worked with him on a broader capacity for breast cancer outreach. After speaking with these two gals, Kim who’d I’d known for over 10 years, I knew I had found my plastic surgeon. She also told me how several girls she knows, her being basically a supermodel with thousands of high calibre friends, had story after story of women she knew who LOVES Dr. Fenner. Seems I’ve got heavy competition for those wedding plans of mine.
The results of my surgery. Of course it turned out well. Except for the one part that I differed in opinion. I wanted a slight upturn whereas he suggested not. I totally should have gone with his opinion. Nonetheless, completely happy.
Liposuction of both front and back midsection and front and back thighs. Mole removal on my face. 2019. This one I’d struggled with. Growing up, I was a size 0 and had curves like a Victoria’s Secret supermodel. Let’s face it, bordering on an eating disorder and smoking a pack a day will do that. Those of us born in the early 1970s understand this was just how it was done. Then, I got healthier, and despite adopting a vegan, yoga retreat going, Ayurvedic learning, Greek island summer home-ing, spa owning lifestyle, the weight came on. It took a lot to admit defeat and ask for help. I could no longer do another Master Cleanse for 20 days. One of my long time clients, Jeni, was actually one of Dr. Fenner’s nurse anesthetist at NorthShore, helped me work through the emotions of the whole thing and actually go through with it. Can you imagine I was so embarrassed to even show the man where I’d failed and needed lipo. This is where he really shines. He truly is the sweetest man. The gentlest man. Not just as a doctor but as a human being. I think he knows what he does is life changing. I’m not sure if he knows why. It’s because he treated me so kindly when I felt like some sort of wounded animal caught in a trap.

Liposuction of my arms. Lower face lift. Another mole removal on my face. 2022. I just had these procedures done a couple weeks ago. I feel amazing. I can’t believe how much I’d forgotten what I looked like without saggy cheeks, chin, and neck. And I used to have the best arms, really it was my favorite feature. During Covid, of which I baked my way through, my once always super toned arms quadrupled in size.
The results of my surgery. Of course it turned out well. Dare I say I feel pretty again. When I look in the mirror, do I still see all the imperfections? Absolutely. But the reflection is undeniably better.
Besides myself, I have sent every single client of mine to Dr. Fenner when asked for recommendations and even when not asked. Mary, who had an eye lift a few years ago, can’t stop talking about all the other things she wants. Jodi and Elizabeth both had nose imperfections treated by him with total satisfaction. Then there are my clients who have already known him. Vanessa’s entire family has seen him. Her sister, who did something horrible to her face was visited by Dr. Fenner at the hospital in the middle of the night and he didn’t even charge her. His clientele are not generally the kind to write Yelp or Google reviews, they’re too busy deciding between the Greek Isles or the Amalfi Coast.
But make no mistake, he’s The One. Mr. Big has nothing on Dr. Fenner.
