Grateful Beyond Words for This Experience

If you are considering having surgery with Dr. Ayhan Erdal, I genuinely don’t think you could ask for a better team.

I traveled alone for my surgery, and although I knew I was independent enough to do it, surgery puts you in a very vulnerable position. What stayed with me most is that despite being there by myself, I never actually felt alone.

?pek was incredible throughout the entire experience. She coordinated everything, checked on me, answered my endless questions and somehow always knew when I simply needed reassurance. Beyza took such beautiful care of me during my recovery as well. There is a level of kindness and emotional intelligence within this team that made an enormous difference to my experience.

And then there is Dr. Ayhan himself.

One of the things I appreciate most about him is that I genuinely feel he understands the female body and proportions. I came in with a very specific vision of what I wanted. I didn’t want to become someone else or simply make everything smaller or bigger. I wanted my own proportions to be refined in a way that still felt completely like me. He understood that.

What also gave me enormous respect for him was his honesty. He was never trying to find more things to operate on or convince me that I needed additional procedures. Quite the opposite. When I asked about certain things, he was very straightforward about what he thought was necessary and what wasn’t. In an industry where it can sometimes feel like there is always something else being offered to you, I found that incredibly reassuring.

Of course, trusting someone with your body is difficult in the beginning. I had questions, doubts and moments when I analyzed absolutely everything. I think that’s human.

If I could give one piece of advice to someone going through the same experience, it would be this: come knowing what you want, communicate it clearly, ask every question you need to ask, and then allow some space for the expertise of the person you chose.

You don’t have to surrender your judgment to trust someone. For me, trust came from feeling heard, receiving honest answers and seeing that the decisions being made were about what suited my body rather than simply doing more.

I’m still healing, so I know my body has more changing and settling to do, but I’m already genuinely happy with what I see. I feel that Dr. Ayhan understood what I was trying to achieve, and I’m so excited to see everything continue to develop over the coming months.

What has impressed me equally is that the care didn’t disappear once the surgery was over. Even weeks later, I can reach out with questions about my recovery, scars, exercise or something I’m unsure about, and I still receive guidance and reassurance.

So if you’re considering surgery with this team and you’re nervous, especially if you’re thinking about doing it alone, I can only speak from my own experience.

I arrived alone, but I never felt alone.

And if you’ve done your research, you know what you want and this feels like the right team for you, then my advice is simple: just do it.

Dr. Ayhan, ?pek, Beyza and the entire team, thank you for taking care not only of my body, but of the person going through the experience. That meant more to me than you probably realize.
