6 month update

It has been about 6 months since I got a full tummy tuck and some fat grafting in my cheeks and chin. I'd like to preface this review by saying that my plastic surgeon did his job well and that I think I am just unlucky with how my body has been recovering.
The fat grafting went well, I healed completely after just a few weeks. I was afraid that I would end up with an uncanny looking face, but the surgeon did a good job with making it look natural and has helped with filling out my sunken face after I lost a lot of weight.
The full tummy tuck procedure itself went well at the clinic. The surgeon and the team were very efficient at getting me scheduled quickly and provided me with great aftercare and follow-up over these last few months.
The recovery process however has been long and tough. I unfortunately had a small complication caused by a suture granuloma that would not heal by itself over several months. I had a small open sore about the size of a pimple and would seem to improve on some days, then suddenly would get worse. Thankfully it eventually healed after about 3 weeks after getting one treatment of silver nitrate from my local doctor. I also still have a bit of a "shelf" above my incision line which is more prominent in the evening and likely caused by some residual swelling. I am aware that this takes time to resolve, likely up to a year or two post op, so I will continue to monitor how it improves over the next 6 months and consult the plastic surgeon again at the 1 year mark if it hasn't resolved by then.
Again I don't think these are because the surgeon did anything wrong or made an error during the surgery, but just unfortunately how my body decided to react to the surgeries. I would still recommend this clinic for these procedures but would advise anyone who is thinking about getting a full tummy tuck to really do their research on how long and hard the recovery process can be. Everyone's body is different and I think I am one of the ones that tends to recover slower.

Girin Plastic Surgery Review
I first discovered Girin Plastic Surgery through an online Reddit review.
The clinic’s online consultation and interpreter teams for international patients were extremely helpful and responsive,
making the entire process—from scheduling the consultation to arranging the details—smooth and stress-free.
With the help of an interpreter, I had a direct consultation with the plastic surgeon Dr. Lee and finally decided to proceed with this clinic. After consultation, the total cost of all the procedures was about 13,200,000 South Korean won.
I decided to get fat redistribution below my eyelids and fat grafting around my smile lines to reduce wrinkles, I also received fat grafting on my chin per the plastic surgeon's recommendation to balance out my long face.
I also got liposuction and a tummy tuck on my lower belly because of some stubborn fat and excess skin that won't go away after losing around 35 pounds in the last year. I felt comfortable proceeding immediately with the surgery right after the consultation because this has been something that I had been wanting to get done for a few months. I trusted that the plastic surgeon would do a good job considering he's working in Gangnam, Seoul which has some of the best plastic surgeons in the world.
The first week of recovery was the most intense, I stayed overnight after the surgery in the recovery room in the clinic. Afterwards I was discharged and spent the rest of the week mostly sleeping and only getting up to use the restroom or to buy food. I made sure to get a lot of protein shakes and porridge to help with digestion. My face and body were very puffy and swollen for the first week but quickly improved afterwards. I did not experience any complications with the surgery

The scar color from my tummy tuck has faded a bit from a dark purple to a lighter reddish-pink. I think there is a little bit of residual swelling above the incision so on some days the area around my lower belly will be more bloated like a pooch later in the day and then flatten out again in the morning. I expect this to improve over time though.
The fat grafting has settled and looks to be pretty naturally blended with my face. It has helped with filling out some wrinkles and hollowing in my face after losing weight this past year and I think it makes me look a few years younger now.
At this point 3 months after surgery, I am happy with the results so far and will continue to watch how things improve over the course of the next year.
