Very Dissatisfied. Should Have Researched More Doctors.

I had a very dissatisfied experience with Dr. Nguyen. I scheduled lipo of the back, waist and flanks. The only difference that I can see is some fat removal from my back. She should have recommended some type of skin tightening but she didn't. She never stated to me that my outcome would not be well or great. After 6 months I requested a refund for waist, because there is no difference in my appearance. The office scheduled a time for her and I to speak. She stated to me that she did lipo on my waist and that she always makes the incision on the hips. I told her there was no incision cuts on my hips. I have very sensitive skin and anytime I'm cut on a keloid appears, it has been happening since I was a child. I told her there is one cut on me and it is on my back because there is a small keloid there. She didn't respond. They sent me before and after pictures. After are 3 weeks post-op. The difference in my waist is very, very small like I lost 5 pounds in my waist on one side. During surgery I remained on one side the entire surgery. I do not recommend Dr. Nguyen. She was not thorough more in a rush to do the surgery and exited the room so quickly after the surgery and did not say anything to me or ask me anything. I wore the fajas like I was supposed to and wore them tight to try and flatten loose skin in my back which is what one of the nurses suggested during a post-op visit.

Response from Dr. Nguyen:
We’re truly sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with your results, and we appreciate the opportunity to revisit your concerns and offer more clarity around the many factors that influence surgical outcomes. Body contouring outcomes can vary widely from person to person, as no two anatomies are the same. Achieving a defined waist involves far more than removing fat. Factors such as an individual’s natural hip-to-waist ratio, the structural width of the oblique muscles, and most critically, internal fat around the organs all play major roles. External liposuction cannot change these internal or structural elements, and no amount of fat removal can override certain anatomical limitations. Plastic surgery can enhance contours, but it is not a universal solution, and optimal results often require both surgical refinement and patient participation in maintaining overall health. These realities apply to all individuals considering body-contouring procedures. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort you took to update your review. We remain committed to honesty, transparency, and patient education, and we wish you the very best moving forward!
