Celebrity Arms Full Experience

Motivation: as you can see in my photos, most of my fat was at the fronts and sides of my arms. I had lipo done to the back of my arms in 2020 by a different doctor in Atlanta, and I didn't like the outcome, plus my arms where still big because my problem areas weren't touched. Thats when I started looking into celebrity arms, and in April 2023, I decided to go for it!
Procedure: The nurse gave me a small cocktail of pills; an antibiotic, anti nausea, and a Percocet. About an hour or so later, the procedure began.
Step 1: I was first given numbing shots to the areas that would be worked on. It felt sort of like a bee sting, very tolerable and easy.
Step 2: After that, Dr. Su made the incisions, placed the canula into the incisions, and injected the lidocaine fluid. This was the part I was most afraid of. However, this part was super easy! Honestly, the bee sting feeling from the numbing shots previously hurt worse than the lidocaine. Realizing this helped calm my anxiety tremendously for the rest of the procedure.
Step 3: After that, Dr. Su began the liposuction to my arms, arm pit, axilla, upper back, and a little into my forearm to blend. I was pretty comfortable during this step. I was completely numb, and able to have conversation with Dr. Su and the nurse. Towards the end there where a few spots that felt tender. I would tell the doctor that, and he would give me a count down to help me stick it out. If I needed him to stop at any point, he would, however I didn't need him to stop.
After the procedure: I checked out my results in the mirror, was completely amazed, and then I felt a little dizzy. The nurse fed me cookies and juice and let me take as much time as I needed to be able to walk to the car. While sitting, she dressed me in my compression garment. She was excellent at making me feel safe and taken care of.
Recovery begins: I got in the car fully conscious and immediately started crying because I was so happy that I had finished the procedure that I wanted for so long. I was scared going into this, like most of us are. I was so proud of myself for getting through it.
Week 1: I was uncomfortable. You aren't supposed to bend your arms, so I had to have my boyfriend brush my teeth, feed me, almost everything. PLEASE try not to do this procedure alone. Have somebody there the first week at least to take care of you!
I felt like I had been beat up, super sore, but it wasn't terrible. Sleeping was a bit hard because you cant really sleep on your sides, mostly just your back. During this time I went for light walks around the neighborhood just to kill time and keep my body moving a bit.
Week 2-6: they say the swelling maxes out at about 2 weeks. For me, this was true! My arms where swollen and huge. They looked almost bigger than before lipo! Dont let this scare you, please trust the process and let your body heal in its own time.
Dr. Su says that you dont have to wear the compression garment after week 2 if you dont want to, however I wore mine for 6 weeks because that is normally what people do after lipo, so I just wanted to be extra careful with my results.
Final thoughts: I am so happy with my results. I had a BBL in January 2022, and now I feel like my top half matches my bottom half better. I can't describe the freedom I've felt wearing my tank tops and bikinis with confidence this summer. I use to shop for clothes based on what would flatter my big arms, but now I just buy whatever I want. All the pain, time, and money was well worth it and I highly recommend this procedure.
