Hi all! I have been apart of the Real Self community for about a year and I'm finally doing something that I've been wanting for a while. Lipo! But not just any lipo, AirSculpt Laser Lipo. Founded by Dr. Rollins in CA, Elite Body Sculpture boasts that there are no needles, no scalpel, and no stitches! I had been reviewing my choice of business to suit out the best possible option for me. I am a mom of 1, 160lbs and about 5'1''-5'2''. I had previously lost about 20lbs last year through eating well and working out. I look and feel great! But this tire of mine has got to go! I met with Dr. Iteld here in Chicago on 2/20/2018 at Elite. The staff and Dr. Iteld is amazing so far. I am getting this procedure financed and met with Shanta for that. (She's a doll). It was actually really straight forward. They collected my info at the front desk and waited for my consult. (Free). They took me to a room where I undressed, put on the provided robe and waited for the doctor. He came in, introduced himself and asked me to hop in front of the mirror so he could see what we were working with. He told me I was great candidate and that he would shape me up nicely. (I wasn't as verbal as I could have been so on the day of the procedure, I will be sure to be very specific about my goals and what he can do.) He then explained exactly how the procedure goes and it is as follows:
They are going to make a 2mm incision (think about the tip of a pen and then double that circumference.) at my belly button, 2 near my pubic bone and 2 on each side of my flanks. The first incision actually provides the beginning of the numbing medication. They go inside with a super thin tool that sprays more numbing medication throughout. After that comes the laser which is going to melt the fat and tighten the skin. Then cooooomeesss suction! The biggest difference I have come to learn about AirScuplt vs any other lipo is that other lipo is commonly referred to a bit of a cheese grater that grates and sucks the fat out of. AirSculpt is way more gentle as the fat cells are simply and gently extracted without that grater effect. That coupled with me being awake for the entire procedure results in less down time. At most, I should be able to go to work by day 3 after my procedure. How crazy cool is that!
As far as financing went, I told her what my credit score was and she suggested the best creditor for me (they have several). I was approved for the entire amount of the surgery. I am SUPER excited and mentally preparing for this day. I will keep you all updated on this journey of mine.

Hey all! Today is 1 day post op. My pain level is a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I am sore but obviously to be expected. I am wearing a compression garment with padding that makes me look bigger than I was pre op so no pictures yet! The procedure, Dr and nurse was amazing.. When I have a little more energy, I will come back and give you a full play by play on how everything went. But I will say that all in all, this procedure was nearly painless. Uncomfortable at times but damn near painless! Will keep yall updated and will provide after pictures as soon as I can!
