So I’ve been healing. However, I still have much swelling and discomfort especially when I am busy and “on the go”. It’s so strange .
My stomach gets puffy in my clothes ( especially the Lower abdomen). So far I’m simply not sold on the Sonobello Austin and I feel as if I’ve wasted $6000. I know over time it will be better but the overall contour is nothing like I was aiming for. The final texture and contour so Far is off . I’ll get a few pics up in a day or two. My midsection is not tight and snatched up like I’ve seen other lipo patients. I look like I’ve lost some bulge in the upper abdomen but the waist and lower abdomen are not cooperating.

I'm in the same boat. I had a revision to my upper and lower abs done three weeks ago at Sonobello and they convinced me to do the EX and remove the extra skin. I am SWOLLEN AND IN SOOOOO MUCH PAIN! The only difference I see is where the skin was removed. Everything else is so swollen and by midday the knots and pain is horrible. I pray this wasn't a waste of more money. Super sad right now

Are you using foam & ab board under your garment? That makes a big difference, It helps with swelling & to avoid lumps. Good luck happy healing

I ordered one a week ago. I wear it at night. Should I wear it during the day too?

The 1st 3 wks you should wear the foam and Ab board 24 hrs, you should only be taking it off to take a shower. Not only will it help you with swelling, sheep in the body, and back posture, avoiding back soreness. It is very important to get at least 5 lymphatic massages. The massages will help with shaping the body, breaking down any lumps & Believe it or not soreness. I first started seeing a big difference once I started my massages, also have an a masseuse that’s knowledgeable with plastic surgery helps. Good luck happy healing

The pain comes and goes but is leaps and bounds better. Not having to take pills much more , maybe the occasional Celebrex.
When I get in and out of chairs or the bed, it feels a little tough. Stiffness will happen
I had an appointment with my doctor yesterday and though he didn’t specify , I could tell he thought i was a bit more swollen than he expected at this stage.
I am not even a month post surgery but I feel better.
I do know I’m not as far a long in the healing as I should be because of my previous lipo.
I’m making it but I still feel a little down and out about feeling puffy.
I went to some events and had some photos taken and I was surprised at how large I looked in the photos . Not my stomach specifically but overall.
I was so focused on my abdomen that I guess I failed to realize how my arms and legs are in terrible condition.
Nothing can get me out of this except old fashioned diet and exercise.
my doctor seemed to be a little odd and standoffish at my appointment yesterday.
He was walking on eggshells a little but he kept pressing me about diet and exercise. That’s al good but it’s almost like he was trying to say that part of the reason I am still so puffy is due to diet and exercise. I don’t exercise a lot now but most post lipo patients do very little in the first 4 weeks . I told him I was doing 45 min walks in the treadmill and he basically told me that wasn’t enough!
Then he told me i should be eating a plant based diet ( basically vegan). You can imagine how I felt pretty crappy after that.
The last time I got lipo , I didn’t exercise until about 2 months after and I was eating lighter but still normally . My results were still good and my whole body shrunk from the lipo.
Maybe I’m being ultra sensitive but if a doctor is pushing you hard to diet and exercise so fast after surgery it’s like they are admitting their lipo wasn’t sufficient so if you lose weight on your own of course you’re going to look better.then they can say “hey look ! I told you it would look better in a few months”. Part of me does not want to diet and exercise so I can see the true effects of the work. I don’t mean eat crap or have bad habits , but I’m not about to become a vegan and do 2 hour workouts and everyday . Of course I will lose a ton of weight and that will have nothing to do with the lipo.
My weight ( on the scale) has not budged , not one ounce.
I was 192 before and I am still 192.
The last time I had work done, I lost about 5-7 lbs right after the surgery and then several lbs as time went on. ( no additional exercise or special diet required). This time has been unique and interesting.
I’m disappointed, but not with Sonobello or the doctor but in myself. $6000 just so I can be told to diet and exercise.
This is all my fault

Don't beat yourself up. I was doing the same thing - thinking damn, I could have spent the last 6 months in the gym hardcore and gotten a BETTER result. They are condescending and just NOT GOOD at that clinic in Austin. I'm disappointed in the Dr who did my surgery (Dr Fearmonti, who had quit before i even came in for 3 mo) and also Dr O who was a total jerk to me. They have a new dr, whose name I can't recall, who is older, but after a consult with a friend of mine who is a plastic surgeon, I'm not feeling like i should take the offer of a free re-do. I think I'm going to go elsewhere and get REAL surgery to fix it...

So far I don't feel like my abdomen is too lumpy and bumpy anymore and I am still in the earlier stages. I just don't think he was able to get as much fat or as much contour as i originally requested. The work I wanted was more on the waist and the upper abdomen. I already had my lower abdomen done before so I wasn't as focused on that. I am not sure what area he focused on but I do see a drastic change in my upper abdomen which is great ( but thats worth about $2500 not $6000)

Please don't be so hard on yourself. Your arms are visible in the picture of you in the dress and there is a picture of your legs and I can't see anything wrong with them at all! I would never look at those pictures and think your arms and legs look terrible. Your pictures look amazing and there is a big difference in your abdomen and your contour.

My mirror is forgiving. I think it was the recent photos taken that made me feel that way. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement!!

I’m on the same boat as you as far as blaming it all on yourself. Thank you for sharing your journey. I have read all your post and am grateful for your transparency. I hope you post soon and update us.
I too have gained so much weight and feel like a linebacker. I’m hoping that my lipo will give me a fresh start and that I am able lose this weight. I’m 5’3ft and weight 184. :( I have truly let myself go. I do not look cute. I hate taking pictures. Even my head is fat lol.
Once again thank you for sharing!

Day 20 - Results becoming more apparent. Finally!

Yesterday when I was taking my before and afters, I couldn't really get the positioning correct.
I like to see a comparison of the exact same clothing, same lighting, same stance, etc.
So here it is.
I was sure that my results so far were so-so, BUT looking at a true "before and after', it is evident that I did have liposuction. Its only day 20 so I am hoping that with continued compression, massages, water and fairly cleaned up diet, I can look anti-wildebeestish.
The upper abdomen was throwing off the balance in my midsection and making me look like an NFL player in all my clothes. I can already see a difference when I wear tshirts and slimmer cut dresses.
I am going to keep a copy of my surgery invoice on the fridge, so if I ever feel like eating crappy, I can remember that thousands of dollars were spent to give me a "Fresh start". I hope that by 2 months, the tummy and waist are laid down nicely.
