I am a 22 year old woman and i have been having image problems literally my whole life. I was always aware of my body because not only could i see it but people always kept telling me - majority of the time it was by my family.
I have been thinking about lipo since i was 18, at around 20 i tried out Lipofirm and coolsculpt, which gave me temporary change but it always came back. In January 2019 i did some research into liposuction and found Centre for Surgery and thought, i might as well get it done.
I had my consultation and i was told that it would be much better for me if i did my treatments in 2 different dates which i thought was fine, i didn't want to be in too much pain and i wanted to go straight back to work.
My first surgery was on the 6th April 2019, i had my chin, abdomen and flanks done and it had to be done at a different hospital because i am asthmatic. After the surgery, i kept coming in and out and found it difficult to eat food. My sister took me home and i just slept the rest of the day. The next day was better, i started walking around my house and i was able to hold food.
The third day i started realizing a lot of things that were off. For starters, i was extremely constipated - i hadn't released my bowls since the day before my surgery and that was 4days before so my goal was to get my bowls empty which was painful. I spoke with the nurse and she gave me confirmation to take a shower which made me feel a bit better. I was able to get a good look at my stomach and it just looks deflated... Not a good look. I don't have a lot of bruising but i have been keeping my garments on.
That night 3 days post-op, i started feeling extremely nauseous, i couldnt tell what it was from, i had to wait till morning today (4th day post-op) to get advice from the nurse and was told to stop taking codine as its key sode effect was nausea. I'm still feeling nauseous today but i am trying my best to get better. I go back to work in a few days, on Friday to be precise so that would be my 6th day post - op...hopefully i am well enough by then as i work quite an active job.

4 days post-op chin update

I can clearly see my chin is way less prominent than it used to be. The garment is annoying me because my face is swollen so i feel claustrophobic in the compression mask. I have been given the green light to take off the plasters from the incision sites but im scared to so i will probably do that tomorrow. I'm just enjoying my time without the garment on.
The only part i hate at the moment from this experience is the nausea, i have been feeling sick for the past three days - i haven't vomited but i wish i would, i feel i would feel much better if i did.
I am holding off updating about the abdomen and flanks until i hit exactly 7 days...so Saturday (mainly because of the fact i look like a deflated baloon in that area). If anyone has any advice on what i could do about this nausea, it would be immensely appreciated.

5 days post-op lipo on abdomen and flanks

This is my 5th day review. I know I said I would review my abdomen and flanks on Saturday but i couldn't help myself. My stomach is my biggest problem and the one thing that has made me cry for years and years. Since my liposuction appointment last Saturday, I have been dreading to see my stomach because I was scared of what the outcome was going to be. I have showered twice since my appointment, the first time i literally stared at my stomach like it was some sort of alien, as i have said before, it looks like a deflated balloon. Today I took another shower and plucked up the courage to takd pictures and I have to admit, they don't look bad. I bought a Kpad from Lipoelastic which i have been using since the surgery, but i think i need some more support all around so i just purchased an abdomen binder to help me get better results. I have my first appointment with the nurse on Monday and i can't wait, hopefully they can take out the stitches and i can start with my lymphatic drainage massages which i heard were extremely painful but it gets results so.
I hope my stomach continues to get smaller and tighter so i can wear my form fitting clothes without getting looks.
