Liposuction to Abdomen and Flanks with Breast Fat Transfer

WORTH IT$11,999

Some details on me: I'm 52, Asian and breastfed for 6 months at 40. I have good skin, which means after breastfeeding, breasts sprang back basically to the size that they were before. Before childbirth I was a slim small breasted, 34AA and A (R/L sides) before pregnancy, 34B/C during, and afterwards, slightly deflated 34AA with additional belly fat and flank fat (age, pregnancy, does it matter?). In the past would never have considered plastic surgery/lipo until the positive raves of my partner who 2 years ago had SmartLipo. I’m interested in reducing my belly and flanks and possibly increasing my cleavage to fit in clothes better.

Breast augmentation with implants isn't a procedure I like for myself, but I enjoy my life and am not a gym bunny so my 'apple' shape with stubborn stomach pooch resists all lifelong efforts to eradicate through moderate healthy means. When I looked into the lipo for myself, I was excited to see that things have come a long way since my college friend had lipo and had slits (like a shark) cuts made to suction out the fat and also found you could Reuse Recycle fat into the bust! Who knew? Dream come true.

I did alot of reseach online, and RealSelf was really helpful. I chose 3 well-rated surgeons, with somewhat different methodologies. After meeting 2 of them and interaction with the third, I chose Dr. Khuthaila because our outlook on my goals really matched. There was about one year between when I met everyone and decided to go through with it!

Dr. Khuthaila is really the nicest open minded and knowledgeable doctor. Although she didn't have the most documented cases on RealSelf of this exact procedure, other interactions and procedures focused on her kindness and thoroughness. My meetings with her led me to the same conclusion. I’m old-fashioned, but the best reputation on the interwebs doesn’t necessarily equate to good work, and for me, real interactions determined my choice. I like that her practice is in my hometown (ok, if you can’t find an excellent doctor in New York City) close by and I like recuperating in my own home .

This is what I looked like the morning of.
Bust: 34"
Underbust: 29.5"
Waist: 30"
Hips across Flanks: 37"
It was a very easy morning, as I was scheduled for 11am. I didn't eat or drink anything since midnight the night before. Honestly, the hardest part was not drinking - I usually begin my day with about a pint of water and a cup of coffee. I got up and took my daughter to school, then did a bunch of chores around the house that would require bending over before I left. At the last minute, I snapped some pictures because I knew I'd want to have a record - unfortunately this made me a bit late along with a little train traffic :(

The Morning after

Yikes. I look terrible at this point - took these photos when I removed everything the next morning for a shower. Didn't have a terrible night - not much pain. I only took half a pain pill for good measure. The worst part upon arriving home is that fluid from the tumescent lip was leaking all over the place...like gushing! And now I know why when you shop on Amazon for compression garments that the feminine potty thing keeps popping up! It's really pretty hard to go to the bathroom with all that going on. There is so much swelling that there is no shape. I arrived home with just the soft bra on, no heavy bandaging or anything, and don't think I put on the compression Spanx thing until the next day when I showered. I was looking all over to see what other people's surgeons recommended, and I was very glad that Dr. Khuthaila recommends a soft Spanx type thing from the get-go rather than the stiff zippered Faje that some ladies were recommended to wear. Though getting the damn thing on is pretty painful. I bought a Large and a Medium. Thankfully I can fit the L without too much wrenching.
