Liposuction of abdomen, flanks, and back

In a week I will have liposuction done by a doctor in south Florida. I have seen TONS of reviews on here about liposuction but most of them are for old people (no offense) and I wanted to make one for women around my age that might have different results because of age. I’ll give you a little back story: I am 21 years old and have been struggling with weight most of my life. I have been a size 16 all the way down to a size 2. Due to medical issues when I was younger the medication I had to take made me gain a ridiculous amount of weight. At my heaviest at 12 years old I was a little over 200 lbs. I lost close to 90 lbs in a year and a half but didn’t ever get to my “ideal” body. Throughout that time and including a couple years after I tried every diet imaginable and starved myself. Unfortunately they worked but only for a short period of time. I have always played sports and played collegiate softball so lack of exercise was never an issue. About 3 years ago I fell in love with CrossFit and it not only changed exercise from losing weight to being healthy but it did wonders for me mentally. I eat really healthy and enjoy the way great food makes my body feel. However, at the end of the day I am still not happy with my body. I have wanted to do this forever and am so excited about the end result. I can’t wait to match how I feel and how my body looks. My surgery is on June 5th so I’ll post a ton of pictures over the next upcoming weeks, my experience, and a little of my journey. Any advice on what I should buy based on need or feeling it would just be nice to have to aid the healing process would be great.

I would love to hear or see your results and learn about your experience. I'm younger too and was researching this particular doctor because the cost is reasonable and near by.

Did you have the surgery?

Day of Surgery

Mjrose52
My surgery was at 8 am and I think I was too tired to be really nervous. Overall the procedure was a little rough as I found out I may not be fully susceptible to lidocaine effects and numbing. So the last half hour of the procedure I felt entirely. I was wrapped up and sent home and I mostly slept the rest of the day.

Days After

The first two days I really didn’t have any drainage or leakage and felt alright just a bit sore. The worst thing about the whole procedure is having to wear the compression garment. I had to wear long pants every where I went and with living in South Florida it sucks.
