3month Post procedure Pics
$9,300
I just took my 3 month post procedure pics 6 days ago. Overall, I am pleased with my results though I think I will need to go in and do some minor touch ups at the 6 month mark. There is an area on my right hip that hasn't quite laid down as flat as it could and a little pucker at the fat pad that is right under my breast.... we’ll see what the doc says.
I have not gained any weight since my 1 month pics though I have lost some muscle mass as I haven’t really worked out. I have started back walking 3-5 miles every 2-3 days and also doing some time/distance in an elliptical/bike machine. I am starting to incorporate small weights into the mix.
It’s VERY important that after Lipo you get on a healthy diet and exercise routine. I’m not saying that anyone has to go hard core but, you will start to notice that you will begin gaining weight in areas you didn’t quite notice before If you don’t clean up your diet and do even basic exercising. Lipo is not meant to be a magical weight loss procedure. I really only “lost” about 4lbs. I have also noticed that more cellulite has appeared than what I had before so not sure how I feel about that.
Happy to answer any questions!

ORIGINAL POST
34 Yr/old (Almost Full Body) Lipo and J-Plasma Review
Hello! I am about 6 weeks post procedure and thought it would be a good time to write a review of my experience with Lipo and J-Plasma...
About 2 years ago I had a tummy tuck to correct a scar on my lower stomach/upper pelvic bone area from a childhood surgery. That was a great process and I am happy with the correction/ results. However, as time went on and I healed more and more, I started to notice that my weight was distributing differently and I began having these little “pockets” of fat on my hips right around my TT scar... something I didn’t have prior to the TT. I started to feel self conscious about these and noticed my clothes were not fitting the same I.e muffin top, etc (I’m at a steady weight of 140 at 5’6” and have maintained that for years.) Other than the last 2 months, I regularly exercise 3x a week and eat pretty healthy.
I started looking into Lipo type options earlier this year to remedy this particular issue I was having. I made my appt. with the doc and after talking with him about my “problem” area I concluded that if I was already going to go through the process, I might consider doing some touching up in areas that I know no matter how much I exercise or eat healthy, will never go away (inner thighs, under arms and double chin). I was already paying the fees to be in the procedure room and it was less expensive to add these areas on then come back at a later date. My inner thighs have always been a problem no matter how thin I was. Living in a warm state, skirts and dresses are a must, but I always have to contend with chaffing, irritated razor burned skin from my inner thighs rubbing together. I’ve always had “bigger” arms and I am the type that though I lift weights, my arms just look bigger... bulky and not slender. My double chin is also hereditary and as I get older, the skin under my chin has started to sag more. Both my mother and grandmother have the dreaded turkey neck and are now at the point that they would have to do a more invasive face lift to be rid of it. I figured I would take care of it now, while less invasive, before it got worse. It always makes me look heavier than what I am in pictures too which makes me not ever want to be in pics! J-Plasma was recommended for that. I feel at this point in my life... I don’t want to have to kill myself at the gym to “look good.” I would like to maintain my nice figure and still be able to go to dinners with friends and family, vacations, etc and not feel guilty. I want to be able to go to the gym 2-4x a week and not feel I have to do cross-fit style working out to maintain (no offense to CrossFiters!) a healthy body weight and feel good about myself.
The place I decided on is considered one of the best places in Scottsdale that only specializes in Lipo, BBL and a few other related procedures. They are more expensive than other places in Scottsdale, but I believe you get what you pay for. The doc and staff were great. The doc had very good bedside manner and didn’t push me to doing things I didn’t need. I told him my main concerns and also the areas I was thinking of “touching up” and he gave his honest opinion of what I should and shouldn’t do for the results I was looking for. After a few weeks of thinking about it, I booked my appt for 2 months after my consult.
I did all of my paperwork, blood test, meds pick-up and everything and counted down the days until procedure day.
The procedure happened and all was good. You don’t get completely put under, but instead take a few meds that calm your nerves and stay awake while it’s happening. It’s not nearly as bad as you would think. The only thing you really have to get through is the numbing process. This is where the doc injects the areas with a saline/lidocaine type of solution. Most of the areas on a pain scale are 3/10.. little pinch and it’s instantly numb. Only the underarms were more tender... a 5/10, but again, a pinch and its instantly numb. The doc starts the process moving along to the different body parts, talking to you as he’s doing it. You help a little in moving different body parts as needed. Anytime I started to feel anything, he would just give me a little more numbing solution. Otherwise it just felt like tugging and pulling, but was virtually pain free. The whole procedure took about 3 1/2 hours and he removed about 3.7 liters from all of the areas I had done: flanks, waist, bra line, hips, inner thighs, under arms, fat pad just below breasts and chin.
I got into my first stage garments: full arms and a full body suit from thigh to just under breasts and was sent home. Since I was still numbed-up I felt pretty good once I got home and settled. And that’s when the leaking really began! I cannot stress enough when I say please please make sure you have maxi pads at the holes under your garments and bed pads underneath you while you lay down! you will leak out the remaining numbing solution for about 3-5 days depending on what you had done. The under arms leaked the most lasting nearly a week. After about 4 days and most of the leaking subsided, I switched into my stage 2 garments. I found a company called Leonisa that you can get great compression garments from. It’s difficult to find a garment that’s comfortable, I actually tried 4 different brands until I settled on Leonisa. You’re living in them for 23hrs a day so find something that’s comfortable. I didn’t mind spending a little more money because I knew I was going to be in it for weeks. I bought multiple ones so I could rotate them when it was time to wash them.
I knew going in that I was going to be sore... was told I basically would feel like I had a very strenuous workout. HOWEVER... I felt like I got Hit. By. A. Bus. i think maybe you’re told you feel like you had a strenuous workout when you’re only doing one or two areas, but I pretty much went head to toe and boy did it feel like it. Though I had pain meds, I didn’t use them much because I don’t like the way they make me feel. I only took them when I HAD to and then when it was appropriate, took a high dose of Tylenol when needed. It definitely helps if you can get up and move about every couple of hours. As you lay or sit around, you get stiff and that’s when you really start to hurt.
I did my one-week check up with the doc so he could check my puncture wounds and garments. He had me keep my chin strap on for 2 weeks total. The first week was 24hrs and the second was for 12hrs at a time. He also had me keep my full body garments on for another 2 weeks full time as well for 3 weeks total.
I didn’t bruise nearly as much as I thought I would. I did take the recommended Arnica supplement and think that helped. I did notice that I would swell pretty quickly as soon as I had my garments off (this was when it was shower time). They also tell you to NOT look at the scale and they were right. I don’t generally care what the scale says. For me it’s more of how I look and feel in my clothes... but, oh man... I gained about 9lbs from the swelling and solution that was still in me... that has since all gone away. The doc and team also warned that many people get anxious and want to see results quickly. They tell you that many people start to feel depressed about the second week and I admit, I was feeling like this as well and had to keep reminding myself (in addition to the BF reminding me) that I was still baking! Haha
Now that it’s been about 6 weeks and I’ve taken my 1 month pics I'm feeling better about the results, though I still have reservations. I don’t know if it’s because I scoured the internet looking for bodies that looked similar to mine to get an idea of results that I had higher expectations or what? But, I’ve had moments of feeling like it wasn’t worth it. The main areas of concern are still a concern though the doc did tell me it would be about an 80% improvement as nothing is 100%. I see and feel my body still changing for going to keep being optimistic and reminding myself that I’m baking! It can take up to 6 months to get the final final results. I go in for my 3 month post procedure pics in January so will see how that goes.
I am back to my regular activities and have just started to do light exercise again. I am focusing more on low weights, high reps and light cardio for now. I am still sore on my lower back and can be tender to touch on my underarms and inner thighs. I do feel my skin gets over stimulated when clothes rub and it can be a little painful, but that’s slowly getting better. The hard areas and lumps are also starting to go away and smooth out as well. I think the biggest difference I see is my chin from the J- Plasma procedure. I’m still slightly lumpy but can feel the skin is tighter and I don’t have to push my face out at different angles to avoid the double chin. I’m quite pleased with that so far.
Overall, I think Lipo is worth it... just depends on what you’re looking to do. I’m going to keep an open mind (I’m still baking!) and see how the next few months pans out. It definitely was an easier recovery that the TT. I’ll touch base at my 3 month post procedure mark with an update. Pics attached are from my 1 month appt. Happy to answer any questions!

Thank you for sharing your experience so far! Looking forward to your 3 month update!
You look great!!
Now you have me considering doing my bra line.
Just know going in, it will be the most sore area. There is fat there but it’s more connective tissue so it will take the longest to recover based on my conversations with the doc and research. it won’t completely get rid of the “roll” around the bra, but it will def make it look smoother in clothes. I’m glad I did it.
Good to know!! Thank you for sharing that!! I'm looking forward to seeing your 2nd month pictures!!
Thank you for such a helpful post!
You look great, I think you can really see big difference in the front view. Nice shape. Was wondering if you had vaser lipo or smart lipo with lasers? Do you mind saying approximately how much it cost?
Thank you very much, considering vaser

Hi there! I did Tumescent Lipo. The Lipo portion was $6500 for everything and the J-Plasma for under the chin was $2500. It does look like I will have to go back for some touch up on my right hip and have been told that that is a few hundred bucks. The Lipo I did, with what I’ve researched, is supposed to be the least traumatic on the body and though I was sore and stiff, didn’t bruise as much as I thought and had minimal bleeding during the procedure itself.
