I was hoping to get a more feminine look

3 month update

WORTH IT
Yesterday was my three month mark and I’m doing great! I don’t think much has changed sizing wise since my last update last month, but, I did start to see more definition each week that passed by. I think some of that is due to the healing process and also some due to the emsculpt. Which I absolutely love and I really do feel a difference in my core! It’s been two weeks since my last treatment of that and I can move so much lighter and smoother while doing my yoga. I also have been able to get into my handstands easier and hold quite a bit longer as well. I also think my stomach looks just a bit flatter from the side than it did before and it definitely feels more firm. The emsculpt has been well worth it for me!! I feel very steady in my poses and it almost took me by surprise a couple days ago when I realized how much easier it is for me to flow during my asana practice by isolating my core to be what lifts and moves me instead of relying mostly on just my arms and legs. My goal is to get into a handstand press from a seated straddle position and that requires an insane amount of core strength and stability. I’m not able to do one yet without giving myself a slight kick up to get off the ground (in standing straddle, not seated), but I’m definitely a lot closer to it then before and I believe that’s due to the emsculpt. I didn’t show improvements like that until I started my sessions. Overall super happy with everything! I also haven’t changed anything with my diet since the surgery, I didn’t really need to as I already ate a balanced and whole food based diet. My results are still beautiful and are consistently improving at a steady pace. I’m able to do all exercise without any sort of discomfort and I’m back to my routine. Which is 30minutes to an hour of asana (yoga) everyday, 30 minutes of hula hooping five days a week, and now a short little session of weightlifting/cardio three times a week, maybe more depending on how I feel that week. But I don’t worry too much about that last one. I also create my own yoga flows, so some times it’s more than an hour a day. My fitness routine/lifestyle was also a huge factor in getting emsculpt. I wanted to be able to not just do my asana practice, but also to be able to maintain the proper posture through an hour long class. I teach/show other people the flows I make and being able to show them accurate posture/alignment at all times is really important to me. I use myself as the example on how it should look and how alignment is important for safety and also the benefit of the pose. I didn’t want to become fatigued and then show someone something wrong unintentionally and then they follow that. And of course, the other part of getting it was for myself and the idea of having a stronger core to enhance my Lipo results. I’m very pleased with everything and how I have healed in these past three month!

You can hula hoop for 30 min? I haven't done that since I was 14and prob then only 10 min max.
I love hula hooping! I like to do it while I read or work on assignments. I one time hula hooped for over an hour at my brothers champ car race because I got bored.
You look AMAZING!! Do you recommend the compression garments you got? Did you get them somewhere specific?
Thank you! And yes I recommend them! Those are the ones I got from the hospital, so I woke up in them after the surgery. Except for the black top one, but I ended up not liking that one, so I went back to my original ones. I did end up buying a one piece from that same company online just because I was a little tall and the two pieces didn’t connect together well whenever I would move around. But they felt so nice and helped with recovery. I actually wore them all day and night for a very long time because i wanted to ensure good healing, but also helped with the feeling afterwards. It’s a very strange feeling, at least for me and the compression garments helped to relive me from that feeling.

6 week post op and emsculpt

Last week I went in for my six week post op appointment, which I believe actually fell on week seven, but close enough. Everything is looking good, I’m feeling good, incisions are starting to lighten! I have been using the scar cream on and off, but I tend to forget about it, which I would like to get better at and use twice a day like I’m supposed to. I went down to wearing the garment only when I sleep at the end of week six.
I’m practically pain free at the moment, other then I noticed I’m a bit tender when I try to do tree pose in yoga with my foot pressing against the top of my thigh. Which I can see why, the pose is about pressing your foot as much into your thigh as you can while pressing your thigh back against your foot with that same force to find stability in the center. I just choose to do that pose with my foot on my calf instead and it’s all good. Pretty much everything else I can do, like lifting weights and jumping around doing cardio, stretching, hula hooping, etc. Nearly all of the numbness has gone away as well!
As always, Dr. Ringler and his staff were amazing at my post op. All of my questions were answered and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here!
The staff was extremely happy for me and friendly as I was checking out of my post op appointment and setting up my emsculpt ones. They remembered me and made time to say hi, complement me, and ask how I was doing! They reassured me I would love emsculpt and that they are super excited to see my results as well!
I decided to go ahead with a series of four emsculpt sessions on my abdominals to enhance the results even more. This morning was my first session and it was quite the experience. I know it’s super earlier to see results, especially after just one session, but I felt stronger during my yoga class tonight! I’m so excited what the other three session will bring and in a few months what I’ll see!! I even felt more energy after the treatment and was a nice wake up for the morning.
During my 30 minute session it was made sure that I felt comfortable at all times, which I really appreciate. I talked with the PA and also scrolled Facebook during this time which was really nice. The treatment wasn’t painful, but it was a very intense feeling. In the beginning it felt very ticklish, which I am very ticklish to begin with and kind of strange, but about half way through I was able to tune it out and it wasn’t bad at all. Overall I found it pretty tolerable.
Everything was explained to me on how it would work and the different series it would go through. We slowly worked the intensity up and by the time I got to 100 I was fully comfortable and knew what to expect.
Both surgical and non surgical, Dr. Ringler and his staff get a 5 out of 5 stars from me!!! They are so knowledgeable and kind!
I attached some videos/picture of the emsculpt session and also some updated photos of my results

ORIGINAL POST

A 5 Star Experience!

Today begins week three post Lipo of my back, abdominal, and thighs and I am so incredibly happy so far! I feel far more like myself and confident as well. I’m able to go out in clothes that I want to wear and not feel overwhelming self-conscious/depressed like before. I can’t say thank you enough and I know these aren’t even the final results yet. Most of my bruising is gone along with the pain. I was able to do obstacle courses/climbing in the trees and zip lining at an event with my work all day yesterday without much pain. I have the slightest feeling of soreness at times and some tightness in my legs, but it’s nothing that I notice very often or stops me from doing things. It’s more so when I try to do semi demanding things, such as modified vinyasa yoga flows or zip-lining/walking at work for long hours at a time.

I’m so excited for the next couple of months as swelling continues to go down and the final results start to set in more. I also couldn’t be more pleased with Dr. Ringler and his staff. They were incredibly polite, professional, and reassuring. I have never had surgery before and was extremely nervous, but despite that, I stuck with my inner feelings of having this done and tried to focus on trusting all those who were involved to get me through it all. I am so glad I did because this was not only one of the biggest decisions of my life but one of the more impactful ones as well! Dr. Ringler and his staff answered my many questions, which really helped ease my anxiety and made me feel more comfortable, which I appreciate so very much.

I was hoping to get a more feminine look as I’ve always been on the muscular side and have had issues that caused my body to hold onto fat despite exercise and diet in the past. From the day I came home from the hospital, my expectations were already far exceeded and I am more than happy with my decision to have Dr. Ringler as my surgeon!

You look ridiculously tiny! I'm so jealous, gorgeous! Can you ballpark me how much this cost you?
Thank you! It was about 8,000. But there are also additional costs outside the surgery that can vary from person to person. Such as buying gauze/tape for the incisions. I had a lot of drainage, so I went through those really fast. I also ended up buying a couple garments and then scar cream. I want to say that added on a few hundred in the end. Other than the gauze, those other ones aren’t exactly necessary, so it could be a lot less in additional costs then what I had. For me though, the additional garments was worth every single penny and made me so much more comfortable. I got a one piece from the same company my hospital garments were from. Which was amazing for my job and when I did things like yoga. I wasn’t trying to pull one half up and the other half down after every move I made. Plus swelling has gone down more now and I needed a smaller size from what I got at the hospital. I also got a cheep one from amazon that covered my back and had sleeves because I’m a bit above average height for a female, and I just wanted my back covered better.
Wow, not a bad price point but those extra costs are important to factor in. Use vitamin E oil for your scarring, I promise you'll see results! As the user above said - you honestly look FANTASTIC! I'm super jelly too! Keep us updated on your progress please! Do you still have any back flab? I can't see any in your after photos. That's one of my insecurity areas.
Not really on the back flab. I can tell I’m still swollen, but my back is very slimmed down compared to before. I want to do update photos around 3 months, because that’s when results are supposed to be much more set, although, they already feel and look fantastic! I for sure don’t have a roll like before when standing. And when I have to wear my harness for work, I don’t have a bulge around the straps either. From the back it looks like I have a very nice hourglass shape as well, so everything is nicely contoured! Thanks for the vitamin E tip as well!
Can you tell me your starting stats and your stats so far? Age, weight, measurements?
I’m 22 and 5’7. I don’t know what I weigh, I haven’t weighed myself in over two years and I ask not to see my weight when at the doctor. I wear a size two pants unless the brand runs small, then I’m a four if that helps. I also wear size small to medium in tops or clothings that don’t have number sizing. If I had to guess my weight, it would be mid/high 130s to low/mid 140s. I also have a lot of muscle, so visually my weight is a bit deceiving. As for measurements, I haven’t taken anything recently and don’t know where I’m at. I go more by just how I feel vs exact numbers and choose not to weigh or measure myself unless I’m have to. I do know for sure I lost multiple inches in all areas treated based on visual hints! Like when I sit on one of my chairs, my thighs don’t go over the edges anymore. And the high rise pants I used to wear when I did have a 26-27 inch waist and weighed 127lbs fit again, whereas before the surgery, they didn’t. If I remember correctly I did take thigh measurements around three weeks post op because of how amazed I was at their size and was curious. I lost about four inches give or take a bit from each thigh. I think I’m at either 23 or 24 now and started at 28 or 29. As for my waist, that’s one area I just don’t allow myself to measure anymore. Based on my pant sizes and the clothing I fit in, I have around a 27 inch waist. For my frame that’s small. I have a very athletic body frame and there isn’t really any fat to pinch. I don’t have any rolls when sitting and my stomach is flat and that was what I was hoping for. I might have been around 30 to 32 depending on the day before surgery, but I don’t know for sure, that was a fairly old measurement and I bounced between those two. Whatever my exact measurements or weight is, I have a very nice hourglass shape, a slim back and my thighs don’t rub together. I wanted a 26 inch waist ideally, but I don’t think I’m going to measure what it is to see if that’s where I am at. I’m super happy and I don’t want a number to discourage me if it isn’t exactly that. Which is why I no longer weight or measure myself. I hope that helped, wish I could have answered it a bit clearer. All I can say is I am beyond pleased with the results and whether I’m at a 26 inch waist or not, I couldn’t ask for anything better! I also did emsculpt, so my waist might continue to go down one to two more inches within time.
Of course and I completely understand! I'm also very athletic with a lot of muscle and when I weight myself it's deceiving. I appreciate all your follow up and opening up! You look amazing before and after but feeling amazing is the best.
