Outer Thigh Liposuction - Disappointment

I had tumescent liposuction done on my outer thighs about five months ago to get rid of my stubborn saddlebags. I was very anxious, but the procedure itself was surprisingly not that bad. I was under conscious sedation and local anesthesia and hardly remember a thing.

However, sadly my results aren't what I had hoped they'd be. They don't look too different from where I started. I saw a board certified plastic surgeon with extremely good reviews, so I don't think it was an issue with the surgery itself, but maybe the healing process.

There are these little pockets where my saddlebags were. They're very smushy - I'm not sure if it's residual swelling or a seroma. It does seem like fluid of some sort, but I really can't tell.

I've had three lymphatic massages done so far and they helped a tiny bit, but nothing significant. I wore my compression garment when I was told to and I still wear it on and off now five months later. I addressed this at an appointment last week and she said it could be swelling, but if it looks like that in another month or two we can try a different treatment.

I'm hopeful the pockets will go away, but I'm just worried I wasted money. In a way it looks even worse because the saddlebags before were more firm and these pockets give more of a cellulite appearance.

Has anyone else had results like this that cleared up after 6+ months or should I look into revision surgery?

I have had multiple liposuction procedures. I have lumpiness on my right frontal thigh that I tried to get my plastic surgeon to revise. He would’nt. I never used him again. His work was unacceptable. I had lipo from a different plastic surgeon and honestly, at that time I was too fat to be getting lipo. I have looser skin where the fat was removed & does sag slightly. It looks more dimpled as cellulite does. Honestly I thought you looked great before your lipo. There is no way to tighten loose skin except with radio frequency procedures which can get expensive(bodytite RF micro needling) or an actual surgical lift. Some plastic surgeons are using a series of Sculptra on the buttocks to stimulate collagen production and promote volume. That would be in place of those like me that just could not handle the recovery of a Brazilian but lift (to restore lost volume in hips and buttocks)
