My Time is Precious

My Time is Precious

Poor office communication.
1st appointment: showed up on time to asses several bumps on my body. Sat in lobby for an hour before being called to sit in a room for another 30 mins. Unacceptable!
Met with nurse practitioner who took several pictures. We agreed upon a plan to remove two bumps (one lipoma and the other needed to go for biopsy). Scheduled with Mya, who didn’t seem too concerned about me being a new customer. Before returning to the office I was asked to send in a copy of my insurance card & drivers license, via text. I’d just given them this information…I really couldn’t understand why they needed it again. I watched the front desk scan my info two weeks prior.

When I returned to the office, for my two lumps to be removed, I sat in the lobby for an hour where I watched it empty of patients. I went to the front desk and inquired about my appointment and when I would be serviced. I was told that it was “surgery day…anything can happen”. Unacceptable! I told them that I was going to wait in my car and they could call me when they were ready. After 30 mins I was called back in and put in a room. The nurse asked me why I was there. I repeated what I was told a few weeks earlier and excused myself to the bathroom. When I returned, the nurse practitioner said that she couldn’t do both procedures because she didn’t take pictures of one of the lumps. They wanted me to come back again for the biopsy. At that point, I was completely spiraling! They’d taken two days out of my life that amounted to nothing!

1. If they’d communicated to me about their inability to accommodate me I would’t have been caught off guard on “surgery day”. Rescheduling is fine, wasting it is a problem.

2. Scheduling people to sit in the lobby for at least a hour before seeing a nurse practitioner/doctor is irresponsible! They need a new scheduler!

3. I did ask for a refund and got it. I wasn’t the only one to get one that day.

Don’t go here. They don’t care about your time.
