My lipo 360 journey - can’t wait to see my final results

My Lipo 360 Journey

Let me start by saying that although I am a pretty private person, I felt compelled to write about my liposuction journey for those of you who are considering this procedure. Because those who wrote about their journey really helped me before I made my decision. I also wanted to give it some time before writing to be able to give my honest thoughts and opinions.

I’m 5’1” and weighed 132lbs on the morning of my procedure. My ideal/goal weight is between 115lbs to 120lbs. I’ve always been a very active person for my entire adult life. I was an avid runner (until an injury over a year ago) and started strength training about 6 years ago. Now I’m in my late 30s and it’s been extremely hard to lose any weight, no matter how much I work out - I run outside 2-3 days a week, ride my Peloton 2 days a week, and go to [solidcore] once a week. My diet is average, I’m not a health nut but I also don’t eat fast food. I’ve thought about getting this surgery for a while now and decided to go through with Lipo 360 (upper abdomen, lower abdomen, pubis, waist, flanks, lower back, upper back, and back bra roll).

I had my procedure on June 6, 2023 and Dr. Kirit Bhatt was my surgeon. I cannot say enough good things about him. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. I highly recommend him as a surgeon! I had a minor complication after my surgery with the foams/binders and he texted/called several times (even on Saturday) to check up on me to make sure I was doing ok. He truly cares about his patients. The first few days to a week were definitely the most difficult. You’re swollen and tender all over. People say it feels like you’ve had an intense workout, but it felt like someone used me as a punching bag. You will need someone who can help you get in and out of the garment and foams for at least the first few days. I underestimated what the recovery would be like and thought it was going to be a lot easier than it was, but it is a process. The good news is that it does get better every single day as time goes on. I started getting lymphatic drainage massages after 2 weeks post-op and have gotten about 6 so far. My surgeon didn’t recommend or say they were required but I felt like it helped with the swelling. I also started working out again around 4 weeks post-op with Peloton rides and walking. I haven’t started running yet because my midsection still feels funny from the impact, but I will try to run again soon.

If you were to ask me would I do it again the first week after surgery, I would say no. If you asked me between week 2 and 4 post-op, I’d say I’m not sure. Now that I am 6 weeks post-op, would I do it again? Yes - 100%, yes! And I know it’s just going to keep getting better and better. Can’t wait to see my final results.

Thanks so much for posting! Your results are amazing! This makes me excited! I’m almost your same stats 5’1 138 and doing lipo360 in 2 weeks! What was your must after care items during recovery?
How soon did you go back to work?

Thank you! I’m very happy with the results so far. After care items that I think were necessary: chuck/puppy pads for your bed (I leaked the most the first 2 days and continued leaking very little for the next 5 days), an additional compression garment, and a female urination funnel (lol, this came in so handy). I actually went back to work after 3 days which was too soon. I’d say take a full week off before going back to work. But really depends on what line of work you’re in and what you actually do.

Good luck with your surgery!

At 6 weeks do you have some numbing and swelling around the abdomen & side flanks area?

6 Weeks Post-op

OneRxGirl85
I am now 6 weeks post-op and still have minor inflammation and swelling, which is expected. My flanks felt hard between weeks 2-5, like there was scar tissue forming, but the massages helped with getting them out. I do recommend getting massages because I felt better afterwards. They’re not very comfortable, and it is definitely not a therapeutic massage, but it helped with my swelling. I am really happy with my results so far. My shape has improved significantly. My breasts and butt look bigger without treatment to those areas. Dr. Bhatt is such a kind and skilled surgeon. I’ll keep posting updates!

Thank you! Just hang in there, you’ll feel more and more like yourself as time passes. At 3 weeks, and even at 4 weeks, I was still swollen, sore, and numb in some areas. I really feel like the massages have helped scar tissue from forming and also with reducing swelling/inflammation.

Hi! You look amazing. I’m almost 5 weeks post lipo360 and not noting a big difference. Can’t tell if I’m swollen. When did you notice the biggest difference and did it continue for months?
