Circumference of thighs confirmed larger than it was before surgery

Concerns addressed

Within 24 hours of writing this review, Dr. Amron's team did reach out to me. The representative I had been having trouble getting in contact with previously seems to not be with the company anymore, so I spoke with Kelly and Chelsie instead, both of whom were on the ball with communication and continued to work with me diligently over a prolonged period of time on insurance claims and outstanding concerns. Dr. Amron also spoke with me again regarding the issues with my surgery results and put me in contact with Dr. Karen Herbst to help address these issues.

As of this time, my prior concerns have been addressed.

Failed Results and Insurance Flags

Post-surgery swelling has persisted for two years. Followed up about it several times and was told it's very rare for that to happen, though the reviews now indicate otherwise (those reviews did not exist when I was researching two years ago before the surgery). Circumference of thighs confirmed larger than it was before surgery by MLD specialist due to swelling, despite aggressively following all conservative therapies and instructions (MLD, compression, exercise, diet, etc). Spoke with other specialists and they indicated that this is because Dr. Amron is only board certified in dermatology and uses too much fluid for the lipedema extraction, causing this to happen with multiple patients.

When it came time to work with their insurance liaisons to attempt reimbursement, communications that had previously been very prompt suddenly dropped off. I live in another state and therefore could not just walk into the office to request updates, records, etc. Several mistakes were sent to BCBS, took forever to get them corrected, after a while the insurance specialist Candice started claiming that the emails from my normal gmail address 'kept going to her spam folder' and that's why she was taking weeks/months to follow up with me (phones went unanswered). At this point they have dropped all comms with me while my insurance company is still asking for information and my ~$30k claims (excluding the facility claims) are still open/appealed two years later due to suspicious activity and claim info on the part of the provider.

Ignore the information out there that lipedema can be treated by dermatologists with less impact on the skin afterwards and just find a plastic surgeon who can do lymph-sparing lipo for lipedema or similar conditions instead.
