Absolutely Amazing Experience

I can’t even begin to explain the experience I have had with Dr. Jones and his entire staff at Cape and Islands plastic surgery. I had been trying to manage a diagnosis of lipedema conservatively for two years, although turns out I’ve had it my whole life. The painful bumps, the heaviness, the pain, the sensitivity, the bloat, the easy bruising all the time, all things that were affecting my everyday life. When it was discovered that there was a surgical option to attempt to relieve some of those symptoms, I just couldn’t believe it. I did some research. I knew it was going to be tough with insurance, having already been denied. I went back to my insurance company and got the “you need to do this” list. Crushed that list and finally got approved. Allison, Dr Jones’ office manager, was a giant help with this. She was patient with us, who knew very little about this process. She guided us and laid out all the timelines and expectations as a patient. Every visit she was friendly and courteous, helpful is too small of a word, she is invaluable to the entire experience.
I ended up having 3 surgeries with Dr Jones, and with every follow up came a new level up for me. Kelly the nurse, was friendly and invested from day 1. She made me feel more and more comfortable each time. I’m a modest woman, and my body shape as I started this journey was uncomfortable, and awfully shaped. But, with each follow up my body morphed into something I never thought possible. Kelly was just as excited for me as I was. I’ll never forget getting into a medium compression and her being so happy for me. Her knowledge and firmness for all follow up activities was on point. She knew best and I listened. My results are a combo of the surgeries and the follow up and Kelly was a giant part of that.
Dr. Jones, there aren’t enough synonyms for grateful for me to use when describing my experience with him. From the 1st visit, when he was assessing my challenging case, he was 100% honest with me. He gave me realistic expectations for each surgery. My first surgery was my upper legs. He drew the lines on my legs and I was like there is no way my legs are going to look like that. And boom sexy legs. They are not Heidi Klum legs but they are my legs and they have never felt better. The bumps are gone. The sensitivity, the pain, the heaviness all gone. My second surgery was my torso. Who knew a torso could change shape as much as mine did. No kidding I have a waist! And again, puffiness way down, the feeling of suffocating..gone. And my last surgery was thigh lift and brachioplasty of both arms. Woah. This was the scariest one for me, due to all the big incisions, but again Dr Jones killed it. He gave me my body back. Every visit, he was friendly and knowledgeable. He never promised me anything, he kept me grounded in the expectations and outcomes. He was spot on for all 3 surgeries. Choosing Dr Jones was literally one of the best choices I’ve made in my life. My lipedema symptoms are gone or nearly gone, my body is proportional, my soul has been revived. I would 1000% recommend Dr. Jones and his amazing skills along with his entire staff.
