Lip Lift Gone Wrong

I had the lip lift, the wound came open and didn’t heal closed,(I think from too much tension) as time went on the scar tissue grew bigger and bigger.
Now I am left with this ugly scar in the middle of my face, I’ve had surgery before 3 times and never had an issue with Keyloid.

So sorry this unfortunate result occurred. You should hav a revision one by a top-tier Lip Lift surgeon.

I am so sorry this unfortunate result happened to you. That’s why I say again and again, this surgery is not worth the risk of the outcome. Did you have an abnormal amount of swelling after surgery?

Well for those of us who don't scar poorly, it is 100% worth it! It's amazing how a few millimeters changed my entire facial proportions. I love it! And it's been two years almost already, and the scars are almost invisible.

I agree. I don't scar poorly and my lip lift changed my life 100% for the better. I'd do it again a thousand times over. Choosing a top notch surgeon is key!

So sorry this happened to you. It looks like a hypertrophic scar which can be treated with steroid injections or laser therapy I think. May be worth getting it checked out at a skin clinic x

I'm so sorry for your experience.... I had a similar scar before my revision and it is truly, profoundly devastating. I understand what you're going through.

I had three pulse dye laser treatments 4-6 months out which flattened and shrunk it a little, and then I had it revised by Dr Mascaro 1.5 years after. Now there's barely any sign anything happened. There's hope.
