Just turned 40 and finally got my lip lift.

Had surgery this morning. Very swollen and in quite a bit of pain. Most painful part this far was when numbing medicine was wearing off. Dr. Pearson is amazing and so patient with me. Even taking extra time with me to get my nerves under control and making me feel secure.

2nd day post op. Pain is pretty bad at times. I also suffer from fibromyalgia so it is kind of hard for me to gauge the pain level. I think that the trauma of surgery has definitely made the fibromyalgia flare up. Something to consider if you suffer from an autoimmune disease. Swelling is bad but that is to be expected. It hurts the most during the night which makes it hard to rest. Dr. Pearson, has called me every night to check in. He's so caring and helpful.

I will continue to post more pictures as I see change. If you can, I would definitely check out Dr. Pearson. I cannot say enough good things about him. I had a consultation with another doctor in Beverly Hills that is known for being the lip lift specialist and he was horrible. Not only did he not even examine me but he refused to do the lift unless I had my front teeth shaved down. He said that I would look like a chipmunk. And on top of that he was almost double the price. So glad I got a second opinion. I like my bunny teeth.

It was with Dr.T. He was the most egotistical man I have ever met in my life. I was 15 minutes early and they kept me waiting for an hour. Then he seriously went on and on about how he is the best at lip lifts and is never off even by half a millimeter. Took a phone call with a celebrity dentist during our consultation and proceed to tell me that the dentist called to let him know that one of his patients thought he was hot! I cannot make this stuff up. My 18 yr old daughter was with me and even she was grossed out. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Oh, and the consultation also cost me $100!

Would you mind private messaging me if you're comfortable to let me know? - I've been to Dr Pearson for a face consult - and plan to visit Pearson again to see how much it would cost to add the lip procedure. I was also thinking of going to Dr R Haworth for a lip consult as well. Did you have a consult with Dr Haworth by any chance? Thank you so much.

Sorry about your pain level and hope it gets better soon. The first 3 days were hardest for me. Dr. Pearson did my lip lift almost 3 weeks ago and I'm really happy with it. You are so right - he is kind and compassionate. I think you will have a great result. :-)

5 days post op. Swelling has gone down a lot more and I'm only in pain when I forget and smile or laugh. Can't wait to get the stitches out on Monday. They are so itchy due to the healing but they look like little black whiskers. ???? I'll keep you posted!

What kind of supplements are you taking and did you ice the first two days?

I was taking arnica to combat the swelling and brusing. I took the tablets and also used the cream all around my face.
