Lip lift, young with long philtrum

I literally look 10 years younger. I wish I had done this sooner. I researched about it and different doctors for about 1.5-2 years. So I definitely understand all the things. I just needed to bite the bullet and do it. I’m so happy!! :-)

So my original philtrum distance was 20 mm and a little more in some areas. About 7-8 mm was removed. This is what the dr recommended for me.
I felt like my long upper lip made me look old :-( I also wanted tooth show at rest. This was very important for me getting the procedure. I had a big smile, but no resting tooth show.
I tried filler for the very first time March 2019. I specifically asked if they could try to create the illusion of lifting my lip. Instead, me not knowing, got injected with TWO syringes of Juvederm. It looked bad! I was almost as swollen from the filler as I was from my lip lift. My lip looked even longer once it settled. It took like 1-2 weeks to actually unswell.
Doctor said I should be a better candidate for filler now. But before I had a total duck lip. Luckily for me, the filler metabolized quickly and it was gone.
So far the lip lift is healing well. The scar looks bad right now, but it will improve!

There are a ton of LL reviews on here, so I don't want to rewrite everything that's been said before. I knew what to expect from reading all the other reviews. I'm three weeks post op today, loving my results! I just wanted to share some pics. Yes, I'm still red and the scar is tight.
