Terrible Experience

After a successful eyelid surgery with Amir (my only previous cosmetic op), I decided to try the lip lift.  Unfortunately, Amir removed much less than I requested (in writing), left me with a serious infection, and with a dark lump due to the permanent stitch he ties off under your skin.  The result looked bad and the experience was very distressing.
Bella Vou didn’t have a consent form or post-op form for this surgery (so they had me sign a consent for a Lip Implant, at which I point I nearly and should have left). The incision split open just after sutures were taken out at 5 days and they missed signs of infection on multiple occasions despite me pointing it out. Amir also failed to remove the permanent stitch he left under my skin in a follow up procedure, and then Bella Vou said they’d consider suing me if I spoke about it.
So I asked for my consent forms and found they were often submitted late and at times with content I dispute. I had some difficulty obtaining all of them as well. Even though I’ve now had a revision, pieces of Amir’s permanent stitch still float around under my skin. I’m not aware any other doctor who uses a permanent stitch for this surgery.
In addition, I had an embedded stitch come out through my nostril at month 2 which was painful, never heard of that either. And the NHS gave me antibiotics for my infection which in total lasted months.
I submitted an internal complaint to them and their response included contradictions and inaccuracies including an additional surgery date and some strange accusations.  They also refused to address a single issue with my medical records. Those errors include wrong gender and age multiple times and 4 surgical forms submitted on the wrong date!
I have since found Bella Vou sent my confidential internal complaint without my consent to law firms, an insurance company and an advisor even though I made no financial demand. I was even contacted by a law firm who demanded my address twice and instructed me to communicate with them about my confidential internal complaint!
As mentioned, I had a revision done, and it was performed by one of the top doctors for this surgery and it looks much better now. But from my infection and previous two surgeries with Amir (the second being the failed suture removal) the scar is worse than it would have been. It was a really bad experience and ruined major plans for more than half a year (recovering from 2 surgeries and a major infection).  If you’re looking for generalist doctor in the area maybe consider Marc Pacifico instead.
Since my procedure, Bella Vou updated their website and now post their consent forms, including ones they told me didn’t exist. They also say now that stitches come out at one week. They took mine out at 5 days which I questioned as too early in an email at the time but they didn’t respond. Bella Vou makes the absurd claim that recovery is a week or less. It takes months to fully heal. I have screenshots of all these details but feel it’s not worth posting.
