One year post op liplift

Surgicaltech75
$4,100
It’s been 1 year! It’s been a year of carefully watching my scar and lip transform. A year of gods and bads. There is definitely a scar with this procedure. My right nostril in the beginning was freaking me out because it was being pulled down. However since then the tightness has let up. I had my lips blushed, there still remains tightness, numbness and sometimes tingling. That is due to the damage to the nerves that were cut. Overall I love love my result. Would I do it again yes I would. Regina Rodman is who did my lip lift.

Great news! Thank you for posting about your journey! I developed suture granulomas from a lip lift as well. Would you tell me what helped you most with recovery. It’s inflamed and have a lot of small round holes all along the line of the stiches. It’s a lot like your pictures and what you described.

Time and patience

Surgicaltech75
This is the first time I actually feel pretty. It not easy when the body has been rejecting foreign material and have inflammation of the scar redness and swelling. Thank God for my Dr she has been on it with my after care. I too have been doing my own micro needling. Been doing what people on here tell me to do from taking supplements, massaging all kinds of oils to the scar. It’s starting to pay off. At this point my lip has somewhat relaxed. I don’t look like I have a cleft lip. It’s not as tight or stiff. I lessened the staring at my face in the mirror so much!! Stay positive even in the bad times ladies. Happy healing.

Patience!!. It is so easy to preach but when it happens to me I feel exactly what you went through. It was about 4 months before my 2nd lip lift settled.

Who did your Maybellineo? Are you happy with it?

Dr. Jon Perenack In Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Yes, I am still happy.

Good to hear;) Is he expensive?
June 1, 2023
The prices he gives me are not what he charges the general public. I have been knowing him and his wife ( I worked with her ) for over 20 years. He has done a lot of surgical procedures on me. However the prices down south or way less than the west or East coasts.

Lucky you! Thanks for the information

Oh my goodness! You look absolutely STUNNING!

Thank you!!! It’s starting to come around. Still feels very bunny but you can’t see it. Sometimes it also feels stiffer than usual. Still massage it and apply scar gel at night.

Suture Granuloma

Surgicaltech75

This is suture granuloma at its finest. My body attacking a foreign body (monocryl). It has not dissolved. Anyone have had and found a solution to this. Please do let me know. Dr has tried Kenalog, dissecting with an 18G hypo to try and dissolve. I have no micro needling and applied kenalog topically. Nothing is working. I’m at my wits end and thinking to open up at the incision line to pull and clean out remaining suture. The scar on my chin was a mole removal at the same time as lip lift. That area also had a reaction to the monocryl. I love the result however not all the redness and purple tones from the inflammation response.

I’m 2 months post and look about the same even with no bad reaction issues. Did you say micro needling helped? Can you talk more about that if you have time?

I haven’t microneedled recently, but the times I have done it seemed to help. I’m over it. My redness and purple inflamed skin is awful. My Dr doesn’t think it’s a good idea to open up and see what’s going on in there. She’s probably right. At this point I still massage I have the hard scar tissue. My nerves are regenerating and so it itches, it feels like I have a wet nose all the time. It almost feels like it burns too. How about you, if you have no complications I think you will heal just fine.

I did have a few stitches start to pop out maybe around the 3-4 week mark. I cut it down as close as possible and then read that if you take enzymes and drink pineapple juice that they would dissolve faster. Last week I was able to pull them out and I could tell they were more dissolved. Dr said it would take 3 months to dissolve so maybe it really did help? I’m not sure. You could try it! My issue now is just knowing I’ll always have a deep crease and the Dr sort of did the incision crooked…. It’s frustrating…. If you have more tips let me know. I’ll do the same if I think of some.

I will definitely try that. And that’s great you were able to cut and pull some. Mine are stuck in between. I microneedled Sunday. It has a scar over it. I also used Kenalog. Hopefully this helps with the inflammation. Do you have pictures yet? You can email them to me if you don’t want to post public. My scar is actually nice. If I doing have all this suture rejection. I would have a nice scar line.

The kind of enzymes I have been taking are theramedix bioset Recovery Support. I was told to take on an empty stomach so it will work on scars and soft tissue (rather than with meals because then it will work on digesting the food)…. Sent you a message also!
May 13, 2023
I didn’t get the message…. Where can I get this that you take? At this point I will try anything

Hi I just thought I’d let you know what happened with my mine it healed perfect no redness nothing then at 5 weeks it looked like like black heads and I was thinking wow what’s this. The doctor said it’s my body rejecting the material and never use that in fixture and two choice if you go to a nurse/doctor facial plastics one in Manchester I know they can remove if none of them have skin going over them but unfortunately I did and they were getting full of puss or come back and see me so I jumped a flight and went and had it redone I was awake quickly done no pain sticted with another produced and Iv healed. I’m a hyperopic scarer anyway Iv doing out my scare is find when I apply make up I have a gap like crease and I have a web when I push my lip over my teeth otherwise no has a clue. I just think scar dots around your nose won’t get better you will not be happy so remove the scar and product and use something you don’t react to ! Plus I’m glad I did I got an extra 2 mil so my lips looked even better lol

Hi thanks for the feedback! Yes inhabe that to the gap. At the moment I’m still waiting. My Dr will open up to clean out as a last resort. But at the moment we are just waiting to see what happens. I can feel the knots under my scar. They will not dissolve nor spit out. One side is better than the other. Dr injects with Kenalog to slow the scarring. It’s a head ache and I hate. I like my new lips but hate that my body is rejecting the foreign material. Thanks for the feedback
