Absolutely Thrilled with my Lip Lift and Corner Lift!

It has been nearly six months since I had my lip lift and corner lift with Dr. Pearson. Not much has changed since my last update other than the swelling has completely subsided and the stiffness is totally gone. My smile is back to normal as well. I have provided close up images without makeup of the incisions to show that the scars are nearly imperceptible. I have not had any treatment for the scars other than silicone scar tape and I have not had to wear any makeup to cover any scarring since about 6 weeks post surgery. In fact, I have never worn any makeup to cover the incision under the nose, it is just that perfect. I also massaged the scars to soften them up as recommended by Dr. Pearson . I am still completely satisfied with my results and my only regret is not doing this procedure sooner. I chose the best doctor, who listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted, a more youthful pout. Dr Pearson recommended the corner lift and I am so glad that I did this, as I have seen many lip lifts that only look lifted in the center (directly below the nose). I think this happens when the corners are downturned prior to surgery, so no amount of lift will affect the sides. My upper lip looks better now than it did at age 22, 35 years ago. Even better yet, I achieved a result that will no longer require fillers, which were not providing my desired result anyway. Thanks again to Dr. Pearson and his wonderful staff for being so caring and attentive. I highly recommend Dr. Pearson for the lip lift/corner lift and have no doubt that he would excel at any type of surgery.

Adding before/after photos with a little makeup. It has now been 6 weeks since my lip lift. Just within this past week I have felt that I have my smile back. Prior to this, it still felt stiff and looked a bit forced to me. I liked my smile prior to the lift, but was unhappy with my mouth at rest. I really like my smile now and don't feel I need to smile as widely as before, so this is just a bonus. I am very pleased with the amount of tooth show at rest and feel that Dr. Pearson made a good call in the amount of skin (5mm) to be removed. I have a wide nose, wide mouth, and long chin, so I didn't need a tiny philtrum in order to provide balance. I have very little stiffness under my nose, as I have been diligent with the massage. The scars are hardly noticeable even without makeup, though Dr. Pearson did offer to laser them at my follow up appointment if needed. If you are starting with a thin lip like me, Dr. Pearson is an artist and will provide you with beautiful results. Be realistic and only look at photos of those with similar starting features and you will not be disappointed. I am so happy with my new lips, it is such a shame to have to hide them behind a mask! Maybe I will have to treat the peri-oral lines next. Any suggestions? I tried fillers prior to the lift but did not like them as they shifted upward and gave me a duck look.

It is now exactly one month since my lip lift and corner lift and I could not be happier with my experience. Dr. Pearson has to be the most caring and compassionate doctor that I have ever met. He was very attentive during my consultations, repeatedly asking if I had any further questions or concerns. He did not try to pressure me into anything, but closely listened to my goals and came up with the best plan to achieve those goals. We agreed that because my lip was down turned at the corners that a corner lift along with the sub-nasal lift would provide the best result for me in order to avoid an A-frame or bunny-type look. I felt very comfortable during the entire procedure and had no issues at all sleeping that night. The next day, however, I had a mishap which required a trip to the E.R. My forehead was split open in two places requiring over 30 stitches and my lower lip was ripped up as well. Due to the blunt force trauma, some of my lip and sub-nasal sutures came undone on my left side. I notified Dr. Pearson and he told me to come in as soon as I was finished in the E.R. so that he could stitch me up again. I worried that my skin would have been ripped up by the sutures, but it was not. Dr. Pearson re-stitched everything back in place and it all looked as good as new. He even stitched up my lower lip with dissolving sutures and prepped my forehead stitches so as to best prevent any scarring. He further rechecked all of the sutures that were still intact and seemed to have replaced some of those as well. Dr. Pearson did not charge me any additional fees for the rework. I really just can't say enough good things about Dr. Pearson. He called or texted me every single day until my sutures were removed and then continued to check up on me a couple times per week until my three-week follow-up. I was originally concerned about the number of mm to remove, but I left that decision up to the expert. I believe that 5mm were removed and that I went from 20mm to 15mm. I now know that it isn't the numbers that really matter, it is the proportions, and I am very happy with mine now. In fact, I can't believe that I finally have an upper lip and not just a tiny little cupid's bow with no red lip on the sides. I also love my tooth show. My scarring is minimal, as I currently don't need any makeup to cover anything and do not have any makeup on in any of the photos. My lower lip is still recovering as it has scar tissue and swelling, unrelated to the lip lift surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Pearson to anyone seeking a lip lift or any other procedure. He will listen to you attentively and provide you a result that you may not have even believed to be possible.
