I had a lip lift with a corner lift last year. I don't live in LA so I had to fly over. The surgery went well but when the sutures came out, a week later, the scars were bright red and hypertrophic.

A month after the surgery I had to go back to see Dr Pearson as the scars felt tighter, there were two internal sutures poking out and they were still angry red. The doctor recommended Vbeam laser for the redness and said the scars would eventually get better.
Once I got back home I had a Vbeam session and a few weeks later I started with the CO2 laser.
The CO2 has made a huge difference to both scars but once the redness got better I realised both corner lift scars were above my lip line, so in March I decided to contact Dr Pearson's office as I wasn't happy with the left side of my corner lift.
The doctor gave me a kenalog shot and agreed I needed a revision on the left side corner. A few days later I noticed a dent from the steroid injection so l contacted the clinic and sent some pictures of the area. His office called me and said Dr Pearson was going to call me back once he checked my pictures. I got an email from his patient coordinator saying the dent would improve with time and to discontinue any massage. I was clearly worried so I asked what could I do in the meantime to improve the dent but I didn't get a response.

You can see the before and after pictures. The scar has immensely improved thanks to eight CO2 laser, two microneedling and two Morpheus8 sessions. Otherwise I would have ended up with a scar like gaa34073 has (two reviews down). Mine looked the exact same but bright red.

After all the money and time I invested I expected a very different outcome.
It has been two months after the kenalog shot and the dent hasn’t improved. It looks like I have a deep cut. I still haven’t heard back from Dr Pearson’s office.
To say this surgery has completely changed my life for the worse is an understatement.

Hi. It's gaa34073. FWIW, I had a revision lip lift 3 weeks ago, and I am healing MUCH better. Like, astronomically better. Which makes me think that Dr. Pearson isn't a very talented lip lift surgeon. Or possibly all around doctor considering his lack of interest in the patient.

I also experienced poor communication with the office. After my first round of CO2 laser on my primary lip lift, which didn't help much, his office stopped responding. I tried emailing twice more after that, but didn't receive a response. Then, about eight months later, I messaged them for my post OP report (to give to the revision doctor), and they responded within a day. This makes me think they're not super interested in the patient as a person when things are tenuous (ie treating a scar) but more so looking to make money.
I'm so happy for you! I also had a corner lip lift revision last month. I'm delighted with the results, particularly the improvement in my corner scars. However, the dent from the Kenalog injection remains, and I am still addressing the subnasal scar with laser treatment and microneedling.

My experience with the new surgeon has been completely different. The staff have been incredibly supportive, and Dr. Mascaró is truly exceptional.
In contrast, I was quite disappointed with Dr. Pearson and his office. He didn’t meet my expectations for professionalism; he just vanished. I still can’t believe I never got a response from his office.
I wish Mascaró had an LA location, it’s crazy he’s the only great lip lift doctor in the U.S.?! His wait list is intense. Dr Pearson can get me in right away but last time I did that with a surgeon he put broke implants in me and I’m still suffering the consequences. Who is good in LA for lip lifts?
