Lip Lift Scar Revision by a Meticulous, Talented Surgeon

ORIGINAL POST

Lip Lift Scar Revision by a Meticulous, Talented Surgeon

WORTH IT$2,900
I had a less than satisfactory lip lift done by another surgeon. Not only was I unhappy about too much length taken, I had bad scars from asymmetrically done lip lift. On my right side I had a “dog ear” scar lump. On my left side, the scar dipped below the nasal crease right under my nostril making it very noticeable. The scar was wide and atrophic as if it didn’t close correctly. This was a source of regret and great self consciousness. The original surgeon suggested tattooing the scar (!) or a complete re-do (I no longer trusted his skills). Other consultations included trying filler (didn’t work) or CO2 Laser (didn’t work). I didn’t know what to do! I saw so many positive reviews for Dr. Pearson’s lip lifts so I booked a consultation. Dr Pearson is an extremely thoughtful, detail oriented man who took time to ask me what bothered me most about my scar. He ultimately suggested a partial scar revision and marked what he would remove and revise. He is a very kind, understanding, and reassuring doctor. The revision was so easy, done with local numbing. The stitches were immaculate! My stitches came out after one week and the scar looks great! (It’s not even a month after!). He removed the right sided dog ear with a small incision and repositioned the left side scar so that it hugged the curve of my nostril. My only regret? Dr. Pearson had suggested revising the left side scar within the nostril as well. I wasn’t prepared for a big revision. Now, looking at his beautiful, meticulous work, how I wish I had done it! To Dr. Pearson’s credit, he didn’t want to push me or do anything I wasn’t comfortable with. What a find! I really appreciate his surgical skills, attention to detail and kind and caring personality. He checked in with my progress the days after the surgery. A totally positive experience and I’m SO GLAD I found Dr. Pearson after nearly two years of living with a scar I hated thinking I would be stuck with it as nothing seemed to help. I wish I had gone to him in the first place. Great surgeon!

Can you dm me the name also. Thanks
Awesome glad you are happy
I'm glad your scar is better. Does the philtrum get any shorter with scar revision surgery?
No, thankfully it didn’t. It was done on my left side along the curve of the alar crease so I didn’t lose precious length (too much was taken with the original lip lift)
Did this make any impact on the shape of your lip? And from the tine of your overly aggressive lip lift that took 8mm, how many mm has it dropped over the years? Is there at least noticeable improvement? Im measuring mine obsessively. Im pretty sure I need 2mm in order to from a lip seal again and 3mm to look normal again.
Are you now happy with the length of the philtrum?
The scar revision didn’t change the philtrum length. To answer your question, no, the original surgeon removed too much (8mm) and it has made my smile too toothy, my mouth looks downturned, and my nose now looks too long and wide.
Ok most ps dont remove enough I want to have this done can I dont want to go over board non do I want to have to back either lol well I guess nobody wants that thank you for taking the time to answer
