Lip Lift in Las Vegas, NV - Totally Worth It!

WORTH IT
I was prepared to fly out to LA to get a lip lift consult but decided to meet with a few local doctors first. I am really glad I did since my research led me to Dr. Sina at Nuance Plastic Surgery. The office staff is very personable, as is Dr. Sina. I have a long philtrum (22mm) and a small top lip. Lip filler only exaggerated my issue, so I knew it was time for a lip lift. I was awake the entire procedure but felt zero pain after the numbing injections were used. I didn't even need the prescribed pain medication once I got home. I used Tylenol PM at night and that was all I needed. My husband totally thought I was lying about the pain level - lol. The recovery process was luckily pretty simple outside of not being able to open your mouth very wide for the first few weeks. Straws became dead to me (and still are at 6 weeks post-op). I followed their instructions and had a child's toothbrush on hand and also used a water pick since you can't easily use floss for a few weeks either. After week 3, we did a little laser on the incision line to help the healing - it's nice and flat and healing well. By week 4 things were loosening up a lot with the facial tightness and numbness and by 5 weeks I was feeling really good and mostly normal. I am really happy that Dr. Sina listened to what I wanted and we went conservative on the lip lift (he also wanted to make sure I didn't end up "gummy"). I wanted to still look like me, but better and that's what I feel we accomplished.

I have a 22mm philtrum, as well. So your review is very helpful. I'm scheduled for my lip lift in a few weeks [Nervous!] Your results look beautiful, I hope my results are as good as yours! May I ask how many mm were removed in your surgery?

I was so nervous too - never had plastic surgery before this so I get you! It honestly was SO much easier than I anticipated. Hoping you have the same luck! And weirdly I keep forgetting to ask how much we took off but I'm going to try and remember at my next follow up in a few weeks. I'm just so happy with how it looks so I don't even care - lol! Good luck on your surgery and feel free to ask me anything as you prepare!

Thank you!! You'll be so happy you did it. Even with my conservative change I feel like it made all the difference.

What kind of laser treatment did your surgeon use on the incision line? Weren't you afraid this would negatively impact the scar? Heard of some horror stories about lasers making the scar worse. Did you require any injections to help with sutures dissolving or skin stiffness?

Hi! He did the CO2 around the 3 week mark. And it really helped and was all I've needed to get it lighter and flatter. No worries about it at all and no injections needed for anything after the surgery.

Any chance you know the machine brand and CO2 settings he used? Asking since I have heard so many scary stories about that particular laser on individuals after lip lift surgery. Heard positive things about PicoSure and Aerolase, but still very skeptical about lasers on lip lift scars. A major plus no injections were needed for your aftercare.

Can I ask how much was removed?
