One year post op
WORTH IT$1,125
Today is one year and one week post procedure. A few observations:
- the scar is slightly more visible on one side but overall it’s not that noticeable. I’m not bothered by it at all. I’m always very diligent with sunscreen and I will continue with regular microneedling every 2-3 months
- the upper lip has dropped a bit and I can no longer see my teeth when my mouth is relaxed. In hindsight I should have asked for 1 more mm to be removed taking into account the drop in the year post op
Overall I’m happy with the result and I can see myself repeat this procedure in 5-10 yrs if I’m no longer happy with my upper lip.

Small bump wasn’t a keloid but just a clogged pore
I went back to my surgeon this week and luckily the small bump wasn’t a keloid, just a clogged pore. The surgeon cleaned the spot and extracted the sebum. As you can see in the pic called ‘clogged pore was cleaned’ the scar looks flat now. I intend to continue with microneedling treatments and proper skincare (sunscreen and retinoid). Yes the scar is visible up close but my bf said it is not noticeable unless you look for it

Before and 10 months after
Added a comparison photo for clarity, since I always find this helpful from others. According tk my GP, the small hard bump (barely noticeable in the photo but more pronounced in real life) is a keloid. That is very unfortunate since keloids won’t disappear on their own and are hard to treat. I sent a photo to my surgeon and am awaiting his diagnosis and proposed treatment
