i absolutely agree! there are a fair amount of lip lift reviews on RS, but yours (hers) is the most recent and honestly the best i've seen so far. lol I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

as an aside- how was it for your husband? mine is feeling so-so about it. he doesn't like the idea of "plastic surgery" (smh, men) especially to change my face and i know the stitches and initial swelling will freak him out. frankly, too bad- but what was his reaction?

My husband feels the same way about PS. I warned him that I would look swollen, and possibly bruised for a few days. I think it helped him knowing that I wouldn’t be put under and could drive myself home immediately following the procedure. Another thing that helped is this. I got in my car after having the procedure done and I could see my results before the swelling kicked in. I called my husband and literally squealed with delight about how youthful my mouth looked (I hadn’t realized how long my philtrum had grown over the years) and how happy I was! When I’m happy, my husband is happy (as any smart husband). So the long and short of it is - manage your husband’s expectations ;)

Thank you so much, Wendy! Yes, I can easily close my mouth. And yes, Dr Saxon removed about 5 mm of skin (no muscle). I hope that helps. Good luck with your PS interview!

Queen of Kitsch - I was really nervous too (despite having major surgery in the past!), but Dr. Saxon is amazing. I have never met a Dr with such incredible bed side manner. During my surgery I was chatting (when possible) and it felt like I was just hanging out with girlfriends. You're in good hands and you'll do great. I wouldn't worry too much about the scar. I thought mine was going to be more noticeable, but she's great at hiding the scar. :) Also, she'll give you ointment to keep on it which helps heal it fast, especially if you keep the area clean. GOOD LUCK GIRL!
