Not Worth It.
I had a lip lift/corner lift with Dr Saxon April 2022. This is a procedure that I've wanted for probably 20 years as I've always been self conscious about my thin upper lip. I never felt that filler would be the solution as I just didn't have enough lip to begin with. I did a lot of research on Drs and ended up driving from another city and staying a week as it seems that Dr Saxon was reviewed very well for lip lift and that it was something she specialized in. I really wanted to do this the right way and not go to just anyone.
I don't feel like my lip looks that much different and actually I feel like it has distorted my face a bit. When the procedure was over she mentioned that I'll probably want to get lip filler to round it out. I have gotten filler that only lasted like 2 months and this was the only time my lips looked fuller. (They obvi looked full right after procedure because of swelling)
I feel very disappointed. I see so many reviews that state that it's totally worth it but that has not been my experience at all. I even expressed in my consult that my biggest fear about getting the procedure was it not being noticeable enough.
On top of all this, I had to pull out a suture that was left behind when I got home. I had some irritation and inflammation and after inspecting was when I found the suture, the scar has not healed as well in that spot. I feel that the scar in general is visible despite my using the silicone provided and staying out of the sun. Dr Saxon did offer complimentary micro needling to help the scar but I am not able to drive the 3 hours into Austin just for that. This is my mistake for choosing an out of town Dr.
I hesitated writing this review because I actually really like Dr Saxon and her staff. They are very friendly, answered all my questions and had great bedside manner. But if I had seen more reviews like mine for lip lift in general, I may have avoided it, saved the money, and kept my face as it was.
