Finally Have an Upper Lip

I’ve been following Dr. Rodriguez on social media for years and always knew that if I ever got a lip lift, he would be the surgeon I chose. I’ve always had a very thin, almost nonexistent upper lip, and about eight years ago I had an implant placed. Unfortunately, I hated the way it looked and felt it gave me a duck-lip appearance. Last week, I finally decided to take the plunge and have the implant removed along with a lip lift.

The procedure itself wasn’t bad at all. The worst part was the numbing needles, but once they kicked in, I felt no pain during the surgery. The first three days after were definitely uncomfortable with swelling and soreness, but that improved day by day. Today is day eight and I just had my stitches removed.

Now comes the hard part, waiting for the scar to fade. That said, it’s very thin, and we always notice our own imperfections more than anyone else ever would. Overall, I am happy with my results. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are incredibly kind, and I truly can’t recommend them enough. I’m so happy to finally have an upper lip!
