I had .9mm of philtrum removed. I was initially happy w result but after a year and a half it has dropped significantly. I have a revision scheduled w my same dr in September. I appreciate his conservative approach but I def want more volume and am doing a fat transfer to my bottom lip this time.

Wow! I guess 9mm was a conservative reduction though it sounds like a lot! (You wrote .9mm which is less than 1mm, so I figure that was a typo!) It's interesting that it's lowered so much in a year's time. I can't wait to see your revision and fat transfer updates!
I had a lip lift in March by another doctor and had seen Dr. R for a consult and really wished I had gone with him. I am 2.5 months out and so wish my lip lift will drop. I had 6mm on one side taken off and 8mm on the other. It was all too much for my anatomy and wide mouth. I should have been 4mm or maybe 5mm max. In any event...hearing that they drop gives me hope but not sure all the techniques allow for that....I assume my won't ever drop and I am stuck with this too short philtrum.
Mine has dropped 2mm on one year. Bad news for me,but potentially good for you. Have you considered lip filler? Maybe that would pull it down. Please post a review, I would love to see and it helps everyone. So you have too much tooth show now? Or simply don't like the overall appearance? I'm so curious now
