The worst experience! Do not go to this surgeon!!
The only reason I am writing this is because I don’t want anyone else to go through what I went through with this doctor. My purpose is to warn you so you don’t end up in my situation.
I went to him for a lip lift to correct a small scar. During our consultation, he specifically promised me that he would only fix the scar and would not cut from the middle, because I’d had a previous lip lift and the distance was already small.
After the surgery, I realized he ignored everything we agreed on… he cut from the middle anyway. Instead of the 1.3 cm minimum standard, he left me with only 0.8 cm.
Because of this, my face looks weird and distorted. The distance is so short that it is almost impossible to fix; the only option would be a skin graft, which is a nightmare.
To make things even worse, I developed a massive infection and a huge keloid scar. When I went back to him to remove my threads, I was clearly inflamed and in pain. He saw that I had an infection, but he didn’t say a word. He didn't even remove all the surgical threads… very very careless attitude. I had to go to
another doctor at AUBMC to get help.
That doctor told me the infection was most likely caused by the threads not dissolving properly due to bacteria during surgery, poor usage, or the wrong type of threads being used.
This has been the worst experience of my life. I am left with a permanent, huge scar and a face I don't recognize.
