Lip Lift with Blepharoplasty at 53, Oh Boy .

Posting New pics in the recovery process. Had Covid and was on quarantine Xmas through New Yrs so 202I ended on a rough note . I’m still having , itching , tingling and tightness . massaging the scar a couple times a day with scar cream helps with the tissues healing and alleviates itching . I’m goin in for some filler to adjust that shape of the outer corners . It’s a long process of healing with a little tweaking here and there but it’s worth it . Hoping everyone stays healthy in 2022!

Hi everyone , I haven’t posted frequent updates because I developed an infection in the lip lift area. I apologize in advance if this post is too long. my emotions have been up and down like a rollercoaster since I’ve had these procedures done. If this helps anyone feel like they’re not alone or going crazy ,then it’s worth it .This journey has not been an easy one. The discomfort from the infection and the “ tightness” of the lip lift have made me question if all of this was worth it . I look in the mirror and although i don’t look horrible , all I see is the uneven lip area and how my face doesn’t look like the “old “me . I underestimated and was never told, how the lip lift would change and alter my face . I’m afraid that the scar won’t heal properly and that i’m still going to need fillers to get my mouth looking more normal without that A frame that I have now . It just never seems to end . You fix one thing then another pops up . Anyway , I hope that this venting session helps someone out there who’s having a hard time with this or any other procedure , know that the struggle’s real and you’re not alone .

Took off my stitches 3 days ago . Crap, that hurt more than the surgery ! Tears were running down my face like a baby lol . I wish she would have at given me a heads up lol. I still have a lot of bruising and other weird discolorations .
so far , i’m pretty satisfied with the eyes BUT my lips are a different story . I know that it’s still early in the process and things are settling in and i’m swollen , but I don’t see any lip show . I feel she was too conservative in what she removed . I think I can make it work with precise filler placement cause I’m also not liking that “A”frame or the scarring . Well, you guy be the judge of how it’s going so far and let me know what you think!
