Lip lift stiffness

So. I had my lip lift 1 year ago. Still very tight and stiff. After many injections we have come to the conclusion that this was a complication that can happen. So I'm stuck with this ongoing tight feeling and will have to learn to live with it. Has anyone gone this long with the same problem?

I’m very satisfied with the look of my liplift however I’m 9 months in and I still have tightness and numbness as I did from the beginning. I had 3 shots already but they have not helped. Has anyone had this problem before??? Very uncomfortable. Thank u

Yessss... I did have this problem too. It is all normal!! It dissipated after a year. Your ps is AMAZING. I FOLLOW HIM ON IG!!!

Omg, then I have a long way to go. I’m already so annoyed of this numbness and stiffness and I’m only 9 weeks in. Please keep us posted on your numbness/tightness. Would also like to get an idea on how long it’ll take to dissipate completely.

Who was ur dr? It’s been 9 months and already had 4 shots. Still numb and tight. Ugh. Hope urs goes away quicker. Please keep me posted. Thanks

Philosophical: Dr Young from Bellevue, WA did my surgery but I think mine is a little different than yours because I had both skin and muscle removed. My stiffness have dissipate slowly but I still have numbness in middle upper lip. I didn’t get steroid injection yet because my scar isn’t too bad and I kinda wanted it to heal naturally (but I think I’m afraid of side effects lol). My Dr is also a scar specialist for anybody who’s looking for scar treatment.

There’s a separate shot for that? Do you know what the shot is call? My scar is still detectable but concealer helps a lot. I will consider microneedling after 6 months. I really hope numbness and stiffness be gone by 9 months haha

Cortisone is steroid. It helps break down scar fibers as well as reducing stiffness, swelling and inflammation. It also helps prevent raised or hypertrophic scar so it’s mainly to help the scars looks better.

Had my liplift in dec 6 months ago. I still have severe tightness, numbness and itchy. Dr already have to injections but think the scar tissue is not lossening up at all. Going back in July for another shot. Very uncomfortable. Has anyone experienced this ????

I had it done twice with this surgeon, not an artist.
The initial procedure was such a mess. Infection on day 1.
Scar was huge and wide.
Revision about a year and a half ago, still itching, asymmetrical alanasi,
Nose shape changed (pulled down). Scar is thick. the incision is too low. I don't want to discuss this issue with him anymore. Literally liplift, other areas are a mess. Looking for a doctor for scar removal. Not easy to find.

To be more precise about the situations I got.
On the first procedure, he was video recording which I agreed.
I thought it was an educational purpose.
His focus seemed to be more on the show now looking back.
On the revision, he and the nurse were constantly talking.
He was more meticulous on the revision, the scar is reduced but it was too wide and visible in the beginning, even half of it is considered big.
I have been very patient to find a scar specialist and am still looking.
The good thing is that, he left some room means I have enough space in between.
Staffs are very nice and very tense.

An accident got me totally shattered upper teeth and bone loss and mouth/lip/talking changed. To restore I thought lip lift is the best.

Have you consulted Dr Mascaro? I had a disastrous lip lift last September. Dr Mascaro did revision surgery at the end of January, its still healing, but it looks so much better already. (There are pictures on his instagram )
