Lip lift @ dr Osuch! Sooo worth it

Okay so I think I have enough on my mind to write a new update.
The first days after removing the stitches were too good to be true, and I had no signs of a scar whatsoever. But after a while I started developing a scar that looked more like a scar "should" lol, and that looked more like other people's scarring (that I've seen in here). I feel like I need to wear concealer over the scar at this point as it's quite red, but at the same time I've always been red under my nose and it's the only area of my face that I've always put makeup on anyway.
My scar feels tight and it's kinda stingy if I touch it sometimes, but it's not concerning in any way and my mimic is almost back to normal.
I'm having some trouble with the new red part of my lips that's now "out in the open" and clearly not used to it. It's getting dry and flaky and I've had to step up my lip balm game. This is not really a problem, though. I just love the fact that I now have a upper lip that in fact CAN dry out :D
I've been hating my nasolabial folds for many years, and I was hoping that removing skin from under my nose would somehow stretch them and make them less visible. Sadly I see no difference. So, for both my scar and folds I've added massaging the scar and area around my nose with bio oil into my daily routine. If anyone has other suggestions/experiences regarding getting rid of nasolabial folds I'm super happy to hear them!
SUPER SUPER SUPER happy with my results, and I looooooove how lipstick now enhances my actual LIP rather than enhancing the fact that I had no lip D:

Looks great. How are people responding to your new look. Do they figure you had something done or just wonder what is pleasantly different?
i know exactly what you're saying about all of that!! imo it's COMPLETELY normal. i think patients/we tend to forget that we literally just had a chunk of skin cut out and then our faces sewed back together. just consider what an incision and sutures would look elsewhere on your body. it is still healing a lot rn! you wouldn't expect stitches on your arm to look great/healed so this isn't toooooo different. does that make sense?
oh also- mine was still a little sting-y here and there. it got irritated the other day and it was a little painful but it was just inflamed for like a day. i have been religiously putting aquaphor on it still. not as much or as often but definitely 5+ times a day. it absolutely helps with tightness. i found that after about 6-7 weeks the taught feeling dissipates a LOT. like i was actually pretty surprised how much and how quickly it changed.
how’s it going cutie? hope alls well :)
Wow looks so gorgeous!! How are you doing now? Would love an update :-) I am exactly 1 month post mine, worst thing is the tightness when smiling big spontaneously like if someone makes me laugh! Can’t wait for that to go away, I have been applying biocorneum now, are you applying any silicone gels? X
Great post about the whole procedure. Can I ask what you mean by mimic? You are nearly getting it back? I have mine in 1 month and I am going to buy aquaphor and bio oil to put on it, is this enough? I am so excited but naturally scared :D

Wow, you look fantastic
Thank you!!
I can't believe how perfect your scar (is there even a scar?
I know right! I think it might look a little more like a scar now, though. Still nothing scary, and I will update with pictures soon!
love it!!!! it makes an insane difference in the shape and visibility of your upper lip. soooo happy for you sis!!
Aww, thank you so so much!! I am strongly considering posting a full face before/after pic on here to show the huge difference it has made to my face. Hope you're still happy with yours too! :3

Day 11 post op

I took out the stitches on day 8, a little earlier than my surgeon recommended. I did this because the wound looked healed enough (I couldn't see it at all), and because of what I read that doctors on this site recommended and because I was really, really curious to see the result lol. Taking out the stitches was uncomfortable. I had my mum do it for me, and one time she cut me with the scalpel :) Thanks a lot. I started bleeding from where she cut me, but other than that there were no signs of a lip lift at this point (other than my improved proportions, of course!)
The next days I had several meetings, and I didn't even need to conceal the scar with makeup. It is a little bit pink, but the part under my nose has always kinda been like this, so it looks just natural to me. I will probably try and find out if there is any sort of cream I should put on to speed up the process of it disappearing 100%, though. But I am not concerned, and in fact the scarring never concerned me before the surgery either. Even with bad scarring, it would be worth it in my opinion.

ABOUT MY NEW FACE - I LOVE IT. Every doubt I had earlier is gone, and I am 100% feeling like myself again. Putting on makeup is also super easy now, and I can totally wear lipstick for the first time in my life.

I am having some trouble uploading pictures, so I will try and do that on my phone instead :3
