I needed lip filler. However ,
I had a very bad experience the last time I had my lip fillers done at a different plastic surgeons office.
Apparently, I am in the majority! Many of my friends complain of painful experiences with lots of bruising and overfilled lips. I was in so much pain during my last filler session even with numbing cream that I swore I would never get my lips done again….. THEN I MET DR. RUBENSTEIN!!!!!!
And my experience with him completely changed my life. The minute I walked in office, I knew my experience was going to be an amazing one. Mary, the nurse who took my pictures and discussed what I wanted, calmed all of my fears. She was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She took her time with me. She was so professional, knowledgeable and her face looked amazing! (That always helps when the people who work in a plastic surgeon’s an office look great! ) Everyone who works at Dr. Rubenstein’s office presents their ‘best self.’ They are all glowing and natural … even the doctor himself ! I knew I wouldn’t look fake or unnatural under his care.
When the doctor met to consult with me, he was amazing. Period. There is no better way to describe him. He is very soft spoken and gentle. He is super intelligent! He took so much time to consult with me. He did not rush me or make me feel like just another patient. He made me feel like I mattered. And in his office, you do matter. Each patient is a representation of his work. He puts his heart and soul into what he does. You can just tell that he loves what he does. This doctor is a true artist. After my consultation , Dr Rubenstein applied a numbing cream to my face and then he injected me with a dental block. I am the absolute worst person with pain. (My dentists and doctors can attest to that! ) However, I did not even feel the Novocain injections. Painless. The doctor started injecting my nasal labial folds and I didn’t even realize he was injecting me already! Dr Rubenstein asked me what my pain was from a 0 to 10, and I kept saying zero……. It was unbelievable. I mean, I had my lips done two days ago and I’m still in awe over the fact that I didn’t feel any pain at all.
He completely took his time . He changed out the needles often to prevent bruising and pain. And the fact that I didn’t feel any pain, helped him be able to take his time and do his craft.
The results are flawless. I have very light bruising where the needles were injected l. They are so light that I was able to go out in public was very next day! This in itself is incredible. Perhaps it’s due to his precision, gentle hands , or the arnica cream and pills at the office gives you… whatever it is, it’s a huge factor in my happiness. No pain, no bruising and perfect lips. I will ONLY let Dr Rubenstein touch my face. I trust him completely. If you’re nervous about getting any procedure , especially lip filler , don’t be …. if you go to Dr Rubenstein , you won’t be sorry. You will be forever grateful as I am that I found the best facial plastic surgeon in the TriState area
